At first I was really annoyed by this thread but it has become more fascinating as it goes.

Re: Religion and Politics thread coming soon....
Is anyone else just disappointed that we have so many Christian Bible-beaters in the synthesizer community? ...I mean, what a bummer. Particularly, since Christianity tends to pick and choose which science to accept, while steadily rejecting any science that refutes the claims of their holy book. T...

Oh spare me that holier than thou crap. If you want to believe in primitive mythology written by men who didn't know where the sun went at night, fine, but don't try to impose your beliefs on others.... We've had our differences in the past, but I must admit that you are absolutely right about this...

Re: What is missing from a Voyager XL?
Would you share what you are getting for the mangler/effect section? Also, have you looked at an Oakley Discontinuity? I saw your rack over on modular grid. I just picked up the morhping terrarium, i'll let you know how it sounds. Instead of the STG wave folder, I opted for the SSL 5-Pulser. One is...

Oh, and please don't suggest your hatred is supported by the bible -- Jesus preached love and tolerance, not being judgmental jerks. Jesus also commanded us to sin no more and to spread the gospel to the world. And just remember that Jesus's tolerance of thieves in the temple was within the realm o...

Re: What Moog to get?
So everyone, I just made the choice that I will just save up some coin until I have enough for my Sub 37 (which will be around mid summer) and get it. Because it's reachable, it's good, and I can still buy bigger Moogs if I'm adult and can afford it. Sad that there's no black finish for the 37, cau...

Re: Thinking of Downgrading from Voyager to Sub 37; Do I Dar
The Sub 37 has a lot going for it, but I wouldn't sell my voyager for one.
Granted if I could not have my voyager but I could have a Sub 37, I would still find much joy there,
But I prefer the sound of the voyager, and the flexibility.

Re: What is missing from a Voyager XL?
My main reason for holding off on the Insturment interface is that I still prefer my voyager sound to pass through the dual low-pass filters for stereo imaging. The only reason I would need for matching volume levels is if I wanted to stack my q106 with the voyager, and I can do that with attenuati...

Re: What is missing from a Voyager XL?
...but gaining up the voyager's oscillators to match the modular level to use wave folders or audio manglers gets difficult. There is a module made to bring the voyager level up, but I haven't made room for it yet. It's made by analog craftsman, the 4x Input Interface. There's also the Dotcom Q118 ...

Re: Distortion pedal for sub37
Bass Big Muff Pi Deluxe. It has a blend knob to mix the dry signal, a gate to limit the hum, and a crossover. The crossover will send the distortion through a high pass, and the dry signal through a low pass, each with its own cutoff. And the crossover is activated by its own switch. It's like $130...

Re: Minitaur w/ Foot Pedals
So, first off, a monophonic synth can't bleed over its notes, without delay or reverb.
