Re: Drum pad to trigger Phattys
Hey There, Sounds like an awesome plan - I love the drum style of some of those soundlab gigs! I was actually just wondering - and it may relate to your percussion idea - can the first LP (St. II) of a poly chain accept polyphonic midi into it and distribute the notes between the following SP's? Act...

Re: Dropped and stuck notes even with new firmware
Just another note. Midi clock is not passed along with stage 1 or tribute editions. The SP and stage 2s have a second processor for handling midi. So, they can handle the extra load. Thus, the need to update the "usb" firmware separately from the OS. For stage 1 and tributes midi is proce...

Re: Dropped and stuck notes even with new firmware
Some time in one of the firm updates front panel control was added when in midi sync in addition to the menu clock divisions. You'll notice when using the front panel knob and in midi clock sync the rate changes are no longer smooth. I agree that I do not like the way this functions. When changing ...

Re: Dropped and stuck notes even with new firmware
Hey Amos, I have the new firmware on my LP St. II & SP's (v33 for LP, v34 for SP's). I'm trying to use my Korg KP3 Kaoss Pad to send midi clock (via midi din cable) to control the LP Arpeggiator and LFO rate (no SP's chained at this stage). The issue I'm getting is that the LFO rate is still con...

Re: Little Phatty & Guitar Pedals - Testing
Hello there from across the ditch! This is an interesting read for me as the only pedals I've ran my phattys through are a Boss RC-20XL Loop Station and a Boss GEB-7 bass EQ. You've given me an idea about trying the phattys through an EHX Big Muff Fuzz Pedal.. I could do with one for Bass Guitar too...

Re: Dropped and stuck notes even with new firmware
I say, get an LP until the bugs in the SP are worked out. I know I will be getting an SP when the bugs are worked out. Maybe even two of them. As far as I'm aware, there are only bugs with some keyboard controllers (mainly Korg?). Seeing as you have a LP, you can control the SP fine (in-fact...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
Yeah it was an ergo 8, tuned F#BEADGCF. It was a huge royal screwjob and when I requested a refund, the owner got hostile and accusatory and im lucky to get back what I did, but I was still screwed out of money in the end. Oh cool, so 4ths above and below my 6-String.. I've often thought about if I...

Well, this isn't Moog but... I got this: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7065/6773093146_d71896cba3_z.jpg Is that an 8-String Bass of some kind? If so what's the tuning?? I'm into extended range basses (play 6-String).. I hope the ordeal wasn't too big of a hassle for you! :( Regards, David Smyth NZ

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
I've googled those things over and over, and I still don't quite understand their purpose. I understand they manipulate sounds somehow, but what sort of things will you use them for? :O Analog synthesizer parameters are controlled by voltages called "control voltages" in short "CV's&...

Re: Warm up issue
Forgive me for being completely new to Moog, and analog synthesis in general but, what exactly do you mean here? I'm not really sure if my SP is in tune or not, and I don't know how to check! I guess see that it comes to 60.00 in the display? Maybe I should search a bit harder! lol :3 "Auto&qu...
