Re: LP OS3?
(for slingo) hey, did you go in and set the tuning back to AUTO? it seems that both the last update and this new one put the tuning mode out of AUTO. ...just a thought. Maybe the tuning mode needs to be not AUTO for the alternate scales/tuning to work? Easy enought to set it back, if that's the case.

OS3 up and running
...11:20 PM.... did the OS upgrade with ease, no obvious ill effects. I'll have to try it out. I did check out the master menus, and I can see lots of the new stuff there. Most interesting, indeed. (LP Stage II, going from the latest OS 2 to Amos' OS 3, via USB, Windows 7) ...and they say Christmas ...

os3
.... wow, Amos is giving 400% to LP owners in trying to literally please everyone who chimed in on this topic. You just don't see that from other companies, really. Looking forward to the OS when it's ready. And those alternate scales don't have to be just for world music... I use my LP with a pipe ...

Re: did expression pedal really add something
...absolutely. The pedal frees up one of your hands... I usually control the filter from the pedal, works great for live performance.
I find I rarely use if for volume control.

Re: LP midi problems
...yes, tech support gave me the proper instructions. Was not hard at all. I believe it was Ryan at support, if he still works there. You'll be surprised at how little is inside... most circuitry is attached to the underside of the main panel, so you don't have to worry about cutting some wire by mi...

Re: LP midi problems
...sorry to say that I had the same problem... I had to remove the In/Out board (easy, and it's pretty small) and return it to Moog... they replaced it. Easy enough to get it back in. ...cause could be a simple static electricity fry. I had the same symptoms of no menu items. Mine's been fine ever s...

Re: Slim Phatty OS v3.03
...thanks, Amos. I think I didn't yet upgrade my SE II to the latest OS, because of the fear of lock-ups during the update. I wonder if we'll need to do each update in sequence, or if we can update to 3.x directly from earlier OS versions. In any case, it's wonderful to see the ongoing fleshing-out ...

Re: spacefunk, all synths all LP
...yep, really well done. Phatty sounds alive! .... I remember reading back a bit about some very successful ($) keyboardist, who, after spending some of his $$$ on every conceivable unit, found it almost impossible to work with that many "choices"... so, perhaps, limiting yourself to just...

Re: Tuning Scale Function for Little Phatty?
...great news...nice to see Moog treating the LP as the major instrument it is. I've been leery of the last upgrade, (because of some users getting a locked up Phatty) so I'm assuming we will be able to upgrade to 3.0 from earlier OS's...

Re: Tell us about your rig
...you're welcome. ...years ago I had a furniture maker craft a table that was low enough (just a few inches lower than your standard table) to allow the main keyboard (in your case, the Roland) to be at exact acoustic piano height...he also crafted a shelf that slid over the main keyboard, and allo...

Re: Tell us about your rig
...here's a link that shows the IKEA table... a GALANT model, they call it. http://www.randallmullin.com/hauptwerk%20article.htm Scroll to the bottom of the page, and you will have major gear acquisition syndrome. I mean really. It won't take much to imagine some Moog gear in there. and it's all ope...
