Re: AlternateTunings
here is a short demo of a sequence on the SubPhatty using the alt tunings app to change the tunings on the fly. The tunings change about every fourth time through the sequence: http://www.pantanosoftware.com/music/SubAltTunings.wav

A big THANK YOU to Amos and team for implementing alternate tunings on the Sub P with the new firmware! Completely cool!

Re: Sub Phatty vs. MiniMoog
Yeah, about that MiniBrute: it stopped worked just moments after posting about it above. The thing is, that was my *third* (and last) unit - the others died as well. The design is killer, the implementation really sucks. I strongly recommend against buying one. My Sub Phatty on the other hand has be...

Re: Sub Phatty vs. MiniMoog
I already suggested that we need an external oscillator box with MIDI (and CV) in plus audio out. My thinking was a clone of the Osc 2 section of the Sub Phatty in a box like a Fooger...I would buy that in a flash!

Don't know about the Fooger but I use MIDI via DIN

Re: Sub Phatty vs. MiniMoog
I'm wandering if the MF-107 FreqBox can compensate the missing third oscillator of the Sub Phatty... Any old oscillator will do :) - I sometimes use my PAIA FatMan through the Ext In and that sounds pretty big. Lately though, I've been using the oscillator on my MiniBrute through the Ext - that's a...

Re: First timer need help setting up in logic (Sub Phatty)
Yes, I think: you need to connect an AUDIO cable from the main OUT of the Sub to your interface. Then add an audio track in Logic for that channel. USB on the Sub is MIDI only, it does not carry audio. Hope that helps. It seems that breun read your post to mean that you only wanted to record MIDI fr...

Re: Phatty Envelope Follower
Using the 101 Env Out CV into the Sub will work a charm I've done it, patching the guitar into the Ext Audio in to get pick wah stuff. Oh, wait, that's what the 101 does!

For the front panel, try Front Panel Express (http://www.frontpanelexpress.com/). I've used them quite a bit for the DIY bits in my modular.

Re: phatten your phatty
I sometimes put my Sub Phatty through a Synth Tech Frequency shifter, the e560. It also has a ring mod and phase shifter and a morphing carrier wave. Pretty nice piece of gear! I also put it through a DIY delay pedal that has tap tempo and modulation; it's a guitar pedal but it works very nicely wit...

All Sub Phatty, processed for some voices with a bit of external gear, mostly the Synth Tech E560 Frequency Shifter. The Sub is a very versatile synth!
