Re: 907 / 914 output level comparison ...
Thanks. If it's a case of "what goes in comes out" then I will certainly check the wiring and my input and output buffers. If I take a saw signal from a 901b into a CP3 and then take a Pulse wave from the same oscillator and direct it thru the 907 and then back into the same CP3, then the ...

Re: 907 / 914 output level comparison ...
Thanks for your reply to this query. The signal out seems to be weak on all frequencies right across the range although all the frequencies are working correctly . I have a YouSynth 914 and this module does emit are far stronger signal than my 907 clone but again I wondered if this was normal behavi...

907 / 914 output level comparison ...
I'm slightly concerned my 907 DIY clone may be slightly underpowered but wonder is this normal behaviour.? The output level is very roughly half of that compared to a straight saw wave output direct from a 901b. I notice on schematics the buffers on the 914 have been increased and wonder if this was...

Re: Oscillator sync
Thank you for these excellent tips . I'm getting pretty good effects particularly on the lower registers with some sync patches ...on other patches it's hard to detect the sync effect but I do have a KOTk 921 and the weak/strong sync is pretty effective. The sweet spots can take some time finding, I...

Oscillator sync
Does anyone have any tips or special tweaks for syncing oscillators ?
I'm using 921b's and basically slaving via sawtooth and adjusting octave and frequency on the controller...but is that it ? Is there any further adjustments apart from using different waveform and can syncing be taken any further ?

Okay thanks for this...I need to check this out step by step but there's some good tips here.

Re: Help with pitch patch
Thanks Eric ... I'm finding that patching the eg into the VCA control and then taking the bottom output to attenuator and then into the 921a control is the best I'm getting so far so thanks for the tip about using VCA, that has certainly helped. But on the whole I'm not getting what I want . In fact...

Re: Help with pitch patch
Thanks Eric To be honest the info from the Voyager manual has lost me as I've never touched a Voyager but thanks for posting it anyway. But what do you mean by "mult" the envelope ? Is it add another EG ? It's the pitch I'm concerned with rather than the noise as there's some applications ...

Help with pitch patch
I'm trying to create a patch that produces a rising pitch to each note ...a little like a trumpet or sax player does on some notes ....I know glide and pitch bend can do this but I'm looking for something regular and controlled for each note. The only way I have come near so far is by patching an EG...

Re: 911 release
I guess thats it..as you say..if there's no sustain volume there's nothing to release. That seems to explain what's going on with the envelope.

Re: 911 release
Well there's not any specific patch, this is a basic osc to filter to VCA set up. It's mainly the 911 that controls the audio VCA which goes to external output. If I set the 911 attack to O and decay to say 1-2 the release has no effect . Its only when I add a little sustain that you hear the releas...

911 release
On my 911 clones I notice that the Release only functions when Sustain is applied a little to the envelope. I've not looked too deeply into the envelope mechanism of the 911's but wonder if this is normal behaviour for the 911 EG' s ? I notice that the Hold switch on the Minimog works on any setting...

Re: CP3 Mixer Question
Yes, I built them last year and so far there's been no problems until I saw someone taking audio from the minus output, then when I tried it I got nothing , only DC signals went thru. I will take one out tonight and examine it , as I say it's probably a component that's wrong or maybe wrong connecti...

Re: CP3 Mixer Question..
Tom...it's the transistor version ..funny, I've done some tests and found I do get audio signals from the minus output ...but only when the master volume pot is set to roughly half way ...any further either way and the signal disappears ...also it's only about 50% of the positive output. I probably ...
