Not an effect pedal, but the Arturia MicroBrute provides multiple CV sources and some sync-to-MIDI options. I use it mostly as a CV source, but like its tone as a synth, too.

Sorry to heat about this. It is a known issue and happened to me, too. It is an easy fix, but you'll need to get the Sub37 back to Moog for service.

Well, if the BT doesn't have an option to ignore MIDI Start/Stop then a work-around might be to create an empty pattern that 'plays nothing' during those sections when you want to stop the BT.
