What's the recommended number of patch cords to own if you've only got the Phatty and CP-251? (I'm on a budget too, btw)

Amen brother!

Me and my mate have just finished about 6 or 7 songs ready to record for an EP, and we're currently rehearsing to play live in the near future! We're also trying to incorporate live drums into the mix as well, so we'll see how it goes!

My retailer told me that it would take a few months after sending in the order form. And I'm not even sure that Moog have even started shipping the CP-251's yet. I think they won't start til after Feb 1st when all of the order slips are due in by. I'm dying to get mine also!!!

... Ralf Huetter (the "lead performer" if you could call him that) came up on stage and announced that one of the band members had suffered heart failure. And so Kraftwerk was cancelled! :( ... That was not Florian Schneider, but Fritz Hilpert that suffered a heart failure. And he is even...

Here's an example... this is mostly one long "modular-style" drone from the LP, backed by a simple bassline and occasional melodic loop (also from the LP) and a drum loop (microtonic VST): ::listen here:: AWESOME! I haven't heard many electro-house-dance songs using the LP, and this is re...

What would be really cool is if you could take a picture of the LP like that in the dark with a long exposure, while flipping through all the presets really fast lol. That might look cool. THat picture, man Its almost as if you can't tell what it is, just a bunch of lights. It woudl have taken me a...

You lot may not have heard of this... but Kraftwerk came out to Melbourne in November last year, a festival which I went to soley to see them, and 10 minutes before they were due on stage Ralf Huetter (the "lead performer" if you could call him that) came up on stage and announced that one...

A built in sequencer would be the greatest thing ever! It would make the Phatty the perfect synth! Wrong! It's already perfect. A sequencer would turn it into the Chuck Norris of mono synths, minus the roundhouse kicking. Maybe that could be an addition in OS 3.00?  You're absolutely ...

That's a nice looking setup! No complaints there! Spaciousness is always good. My bedroom is my setup for the minute, so it's a bit cramped! Aye, same here! I've got half a wall, roughly 2 meters, for my Moog gear. Well, if I didn't have a bed... I'd have plenty of room, but it just gets in ...

I made an awesome lead the other day, which brings to mind the solo in "Welcome to the Machine" by Pink Floyd and with a bit of extra, minor tweaking it sounds like the melody in "Mongoloid" by Devo. I'd love to have set up a patch sharing forum. The sysex software I'm using disp...

For all you Kraftwerk fans out there...

I'm gutted, this is from kraftwerk.technopop.com.br It was also in a German newspaper, when I searched it on the internet... Florian Schneider leaves Kraftwerk... Florian Schneider leaves Kraftwerk after a 40 years partnership with Ralf Hütter. This partnership has generated an incredible music and ...

Oh, and one more thing... Although "Jump" requires a polyphonic synth, maybe you could satisfy us by playing the synth solo in the bridge of the song. (It goes from about 2:30 til 3:05, just to point you in the right direction  ) I was attempting it on my LP earlier, but unfortunatel...

There should be a clearinghouse somewhere of LP patches that we can share and download -- with sound clips. Hell... I've only had a couple of days with mine, but I think I've already come up with some nice leads... just sayin'... That's a brilliant idea! Anyone else think so too? I made some nice L...
