Re: racking the fooger collection

got it! just started touching resistors to the tip, ring, and sleeve contacts on the patchbay pcb's and figured it out. so nice to have everything wired up and fired up. making a nice colored, laminated label that goes over the front of the patch panel right now. next on the list: slim phatty up top...

Re: racking the fooger collection

okay, just tried a resistor from tip to sleeve on a dummy plug and plugged it into the "mix" of the delay on the patchbay and it did not work. when i plug in my expression pedal, it works perfectly. i'm going to try a jumper wire instead.

thanks again for all of your help!

just in case you can't make it out: in the top photo, the grey jack is on the top left.

i'll post schematics/dimensions for the case when i'm all done with everything.

Re: racking the fooger collection

here's what the pcb from the patchbay looks like. not sure how to get the 100k resistor to do its job. http://www.neutrik.com/client/neutrik/media/view299/Media_1235899876.jpg also, i should be running most of the cv stuff in the "isolated" configuration, right? http://www.neutrik.com/clie...

slim phatty rack depth

can anyone measure their slim phatty for me and tell me how deep it sits into your rack (so not including the knobs)? i've got limited space to work with and i want to make sure it will fit. the tech specs don't explain whether or not it includes the knobs. thanks!

Re: racking the fooger collection

Now I'm paranoid that I won't have enough patch points. There are 52 connections total, 10 are used to chain the pedals together leaving 42 going to the patchbay. If I did want to modify the patchbay with the resistor like you were saying (it was the patchbay and not the pedal itself, right?) to sav...

Re: racking the fooger collection

oooooh. i get it now. thank you so much! that was a revelation.

so if i use a 90 degree trs plug with a 100k resistor from tip to sleeve, i don't actually need a cable connected to that plug right? it's just the plug? that makes sense to me.
