Re: MF Flange 07 -- Thoughts

I haven't had a chance to try the MF Flange yet, but I couldn't disagree with you more about the differences between the A/DA and the ClusterFlux. Wave Form: The A/DA has a wave form that shoots exponentially higher toward its peak, giving it a dramatic effect as it crests the top side. The ClusterF...

Re: mf104z no delay out

You can't see it from the bottom, only the side. There is a second circuit board attached to the motherboard, and there are jumper pins that extend from the top that touch the top of the chassis and short out. Even if it looks like they don't touch the top of the metal, they get close enough to crea...

Re: Moogerfooger Training DVD...

It's kinda out of date. As I recall there is no reference to any of the new MIDI pedals, and the explorations are not super in depth on the pedals. It's just sort of a cursory glance through most of them. I guess that's a good thing, because the more time you spend investigating the possibilities of...

Re: Question about MF Chorus stereo mode

I was just at the Dallas Guitar Show. It was a blast playing my Moog Guitar through the Chorus in Stereo.

It really is too bad that the Flanger they had didn't work.

Re: MURF as drum machine

More bass MURF panning.

This track is sort of a tribute to the series of thunderstorms we have had here in Texas.

1 - 1/4" TRS to 2 - 1/4" TS cables. You can find the HOSA for like $5-$20 online, more if you want the Mogami one, which I have and love. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3ft-MOGAMI-GOLD-2528-1-4-TRS-Y-Insert-Cable-w-Neutrik-Blk-Gold-1-4-plugs-/231551302735?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35e988...

Re: Odd Behavior With 104SD

I did the business card isolation fix years ago. I know others have had to do the isolation fix or cut down the pins on the daughter board that touch the chassis front. Has anybody else encountered this odd stuff with any of the original 104's or 104Z's? Sorry, I know I already mentioned the isolat...

Re: Odd Behavior With 104SD

The daughter board with the extra BBD chips is making contact with the top of the inside of the chassis.

Slip a piece of thick cardstock between the jumper pins in the daughter board and the inside of the chassis, or insulate/clip the jumper pins.

Re: Time For New Moogerfoogers!

That seems a tad bit harsh. Moog has always said the the 104m and the 108m had a limited life due to the chip availability. Moog said "PRODUCTION SUSPENDED" not discontinued. They might need to find a new chip and redesign the unit. You're probably right, dude. I was being a bit rough, an...

Re: Time For New Moogerfoogers!

They just need to add the LFO, tap tempo, and MIDI to all of the Moogerfoogers they already make; as a first step. Think of how amazing the Phaser or Ring Mod would be if you could change the LFO waveforms and control the rate to match your song on the fly. Of course, the problem is it would massive...

Re: String issues...

Ordered a set of their clearcoated ones, since I didn't think I would like any of the colors. Hopefully, the clear is the same enamel coating that they use on all the others. Didn't see much about their string formula on their site, so I'm just going by what I've read here. Hope they are great! Now...

Bass MURF

Thanks stiiiiiiive!

So far I'm really digging my Bass MURF and it has earned the placed at the end of my Vo-96 chain. I think it does a better job at preserving bass frequencies:

MURF as Panner

The MURF just does the most incredible job of creating unique spatial solutions in your music. In this track I mic'd the Vo-96 in the center and had the MURF panning hard right and left. https://soundcloud.com/crowyote/villa-lobos-etude-no-11-1928-vo-96 I just picked up a Bass MURF and so far I thin...

Re: String issues...

Hi Jeff.

Use Paul Vo's recommended Aurora Gold Electric Strings. They have an electro-static coating that keeps that kinda thing from happening. Plus they sound great anyway.
