Re: Voyager Editor

rotfl... i don't remember it being quite THAT crappy ~ but to be fair I haven't even bothered launching it in ages ~ I use both Voyager and XL in a very old school analog modular patch way ~ not nearly as interested in presets as I assumed I would be when I bought the ST Editor I guess we are not se...

Re: MIDI Designer (iPad) layout for Little and Slim Phatty

hmmm, I have that Dock ~ don't use it a whole lot but I wonder if you've tried this; assuming you can save the sounds back into the phatty hardware then I'm thinking you should be able to use the DIN IN/OUT to the Dock, as usual and simultaneously send the USB out from the Slim to computer for sendi...

Re: MIDI Designer (iPad) layout for Little and Slim Phatty

Hey Randy! ~ Thanks! this looks very nice indeed! ~ Not familiar with this iOS host APP at all, though. Can you save sounds with your "Designer" template and use it as a complete Editor/Librarian, either by itself or in conjunction with something like SYS-EX librarian? I'm a big fan of cus...

Re: Sub Phatty Editor - beta test feeedback

Not sure that it is the SAME error you are discussing, but Logic gives me a dialog alert error searching for the Taurus (which isn't connected) every time I boot it up, so I think there must be a pointer of some kind in Logic's Midi-Setup or other Prefs someplace pointing to it? — unless there's som...

Re: Sub Phatty Editor - beta test feeedback

Logic does that too — for EVERY midi instrument EVER - it is a pain but I would guess it's System or Host related behaviour nothing to do with the SubPhatty specifically... :? Hi, Whenever a VST/AU plugin host (Live 9.0.5, Maschine 1.82) is performing its startup scan and my USB connected Sub Phatty...

Re: Voyager XL as modular controller

YES! ~ try a fixed Joystick as well Tommy like the one on the TELEMETRY - having it STAY where you set it is brilliant whereas with the touchpad you have to give up the use of a hand X/Y controls works on all kinds of things just as well as the Grendel ~ all kinds of modules with log/lin and dual CV...

Re: Voyager XL as modular controller

Correct ~you will need another device to do the MIDI->CV that's independent of the moog oscillators... One thing possibly overlooked in this thread ~ you can use your modular as a controller for the XL as well sending in different LFOs or envelopes - filtering- mixing in audio or extra VCOs -possibi...

Re: Sub Phatty beta firmware - final bug roundup

i don't know if it was just my particular OSX and machine combinations but ~ SysExLibrarian has worked flawlessly for me on both 10.6.8 and 10.8.4 so I stuck with it throughout ALL the updates on all instruments

Re: Does the Sub Phatty have a softer side?

This track has another example of how soft the SUB PHATTY can be and surprisingly, how much it can sound like a Korg MS-10 with crazy long envelopes — it's actually side by side here with an MS-10 https://soundcloud.com/misterpete/the-joy-of-headache --- I have been using the SUB a lot naturally it ...

Re: Sub Phatty hidden settings are killing me (filter poles)

Hi SUBB ~ I have TouchOSC loaded on an iPad 2, but have never really used it, and imagined I probably never would now that Logic Pro X includes an iPAD app called "REMOTE" which automagically does what TouchOSC was supposed to do (though I am far more comfortable in LP9 and have barely scr...

Re: Used XL or new Voyager+VX351?

First choice BUY BOTH!!! ...otherwise, I would say get the XL... I LOVE my WHITE XL ~ I am also glad I have an Electric Blue plus VX-351 /CP 251 etc (but they still don't add up to an XL!) for alain yes - even the EB Voyager is considerable weight to travel with ~ I use a soft Moog case and a small ...

Re: Sub Phatty beta firmware - final bug roundup

Hi Amos ~ I had a solitary crash happen with crash FW 1.3.8 with Ed/Lib 1.0 when I touched the Mod Wheel while recording SUB PHATTY Audio with SUB's AU Editor FX insert into Lp9 OSX 10.6.8 (report sent via eMail) but running very smooth otherwise confirmed the Beta Team presets didn't install on OSX...

Re: Minitaur firmware update soon - your requests here pleas

that sounds like correct behaviour ~ will have to recheck documentation myself, but I believe the first slot is reserved for that "init" patch The capture bank function doesn't seem to work fine. For example, I have a preset called "Say to me" (named after a song) stored in slot ...

Re: Sub Phatty Editor - beta test feeedback

those AU plugins are definitely 64 bit - otherwise LPX would not load them
HumanByDesign wrote:Amos, is the Sub Phatty AU Plug-in 32 or 64bit?
I think I caught logic when it fails the plug in authentication, and it has to do with that "32 bit bridge" software.

Unfortunately, that only works in LPX ~ Logic 9 won't support it
