Re: Minifooger Chorus

I have found that my Sub 37 can overload the inputs of my Strymon BigSky--so I use it in an aux loop which is less convenient than hooking it up inline. The Sub37 can create a really hot output from some patches...do you find that you can overload the inputs of the Minifoogers? Or are you able to us...

Re: connecting to DAWs. Preamps? DI's?

Is the ground lift a feature of the RadialPro unit
Yes. There's a button to activate/deactivate the pad. <--- [ PS: Oops! You were asking about ground lift, and that is what I meant, though there is a switch for the pad too ]

Re: connecting to DAWs. Preamps? DI's?

I just recently purchased a Radial Pro48 active direct box. I've only just started using it, but it does sound great. I'm using to connect my Sub 37 to an XLR input on my live mixer (QSC Touchmix). I need to use the -15db pad to avoid overload. By using the ground lift I was able to remove some comp...

Sub 37: LFO to MIDI CC out ?

I'm wondering if there's any way for an LFO on the Sub 37 to modulate an external MIDI CC? I'm looking to apply the LFO to the tuning of drums on a drum machine. From what I can tell this is not possible, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks in advance...

Re: Sub 37 through effect: volume loss

I found that my Strymon BigSky reduced the audio quality of my Sub 37 a bit...it may be partly because I had to turn down the output of the Moog a bit in order to not overload the BigSky input. I have now switched it so that I have the Sub 37 plugged right into the mixer, and the BigSky is hooked up...

Re: Minibrute + Sub 37

I had a MiniBrute (the original version) and returned it. It was wonderful and impressive in all the ways people say...but I found that tuning was an issue. I wanted to do sweeping multi-octave arpeggios, and they notes at the top of the scale just were not in tune enough for me...it's been while bu...

Re: Sub 37 feature suggestions - firmware updates

I would love it if the random mode in the arpeggiator had the option to never repeat the same note twice in a row....I know that would actually make it less random, but it would sound more random (I hope that makes sense). (I had to build a web page once where different user quotes would appear at '...

Re: Sub 37 key action

UPDATE: As I play the keyboard more, it seems to be breaking in a bit. I use the upper octaves more than the lower, and the black keys seem to be loosening up. I'm sure my playing style is adapting to it as well. Here is a video I made of me giving the Sub 37 keyboard a bit of a workout... https://w...

Re: Alternative Dust Covers

I am using the official dust cover. By attaching in the back and then the front, I am able to get it to fit pretty nicely (still snug though). It has stretched a bit since I first got it so it is not overly snug. There is an issue with keeping connections plugged in while the cover is on. I ended up...

Re: Sub 37 key action

I am finding the same issue, mostly with the black keys. If I play a song that uses mostly white keys, it plays pretty well (though could be lighter). However, if I play a song with a lot of black keys, I have to use too much force and it is hard to play with a smooth, relaxed style. My first phase ...

Re: Suggentions for case or softbag for Sub 37

PS: After trying out the molded case with my Sub 37, I have decided to return it. It was not a great fit and did not inspire confidence (and it's bigger than it needs to be, hence the extra storage space for cables, etc.). It seems from the comments here that the gig bag, while perhaps requiring a l...

Re: Suggentions for case or softbag for Sub 37

I have a soft bag for my Nord which is great...but when I had to stuff my car full of PA gear, I had to get a more solid case for it. If I'm just bringing the keyboard by itself, the soft one seems good, but not when stacked with other equipment. I considered the soft case for the Sub 37, as that wo...

Re: Arp/sequencer with local off: Sub 37

This is for live use with no computer/external sequencer. I know I could get a cheap midi keyboard, but I'm trying to keep the setup compact. All I need is a simple switch to trigger the Sub 37 to start its sequence...I know there must be a simple way to do this, if not with just simple switch trigg...

Re: Arp/sequencer with local off: Sub 37

I'm thinking I can maybe do this by triggering the gate input. Does anyone know of a very simple way to trigger this? It looks like it will need a little more than an on/off switch wired to a 1/4" plug.
