Just finished reading this great book, and I am wondering if anyone knows of any others that are worthwhile? I'd also be interested in DVDs about the early days of synthesizer technology.

You could always buy Logic Pro (if you are considering getting a Mac), as this features a very good vocoder.

I think this is absolutely right, with regard to both robots and anologue synth sounds. Eighties synths which tried (far too hard) to sound like the real instruments they were emulating, sound really quite bland by comparison, nowadays. They also discouraged creativity, by offering banks of presets ...

This is absolutely correct, except that you do not use a Multi-Instrument, as the Voyager is not multi-timbral. Use a Standard Instrument object.

I ordered my maple AE from the States and still paid less than I would have done if I'd ordered a standard AE from Turnkey (minus Moog logos). The process was simple and I had no problems at all. Highly recommended.
