Re: Minitaur Longevity

what nonsense! …the sky is NOT falling … Moog keeps on updating and supporting everything long after other products have hit the scene esp the Minitaur/Sirin which got a TON of new and exciting (firmware and) features and ecer expanding functionality years after I bought it THANK YOU AMOS!… I dont t...

Re: Moog Voyager Problems

MOOG told me they were not 100% sure why it failed. I know it looked vanilla clean inside to my untrained eyes with nothing obviously screwed up when I checked before sending it back to them they replaced both boards and a bunch of ribbon cables and said they had never seen anything like it before: ...

Re: I love Minitaur, should I buy Taurus 3???

I owned both finally recently sold the pedals but hanging on to the Minitaur which I truly adore. I would say that I (personally) can get better control and equally good sounds from the Minitaur, so the #1 best reason to own a T3 vs Minitaur outside of that is probably for live shows, if you really ...

Re: Slim Phatty DISCONTINUED...what's next?

Coincidentally, I'm using my Slim again and loving it, too ~ I'm glad its factory production is discontinued, kind of gives it a sudden "exotic" quality and we can still feel secure Moog is still supporting it at the same time lol and +1 on the second part of Tooms comment ~ a Rack...

Re: Running Minitaur beyond the Bass Key Range

you're right Dan the same bug bit me today when i tried running it off a random generating CV patch instead of MIDI i wonder if a firmware update can fix it quicker than i can figure out how to attenuate that random patch  After later firmware updates your Minitaur should just play any notes be...

Re: Running Minitaur beyond the Bass Key Range

after later firmware updates your minitaur should just play any notes beyond it's range within it's upper octave earlier versions just repeated the top note, which might be triggering what you described So I just hooked up the minitaur to my Elektron key, using CV to trigger gate and pitch. All is g...

Re: Taurus 3 firmware update - v2.0.3

Thanks Amos! I thought I had it working for a minute myself, but then haven't been able to repeat that ~ if I'm not mistaken transposing the figure sends the root note out which sustains on that one note rather than playing the pattern. Meantime, I was just trying to confirm, T3 doesn't have the Sli...

Hi Amos!
Updated FW is still not sending midi transpose values to my Minitaur ~ is there a setting on the T3 (or Minitaur) I've overlooked that would be stopping it?
thanks, Pete

Re: Taurus 3 firmware update - v2.0.3

thanx Amos! update installed without a hitch under OSX 10.6.8 so far so good ~ though I need to relearn the T3 now a bit having been away from it OK, check this action out. No editor yet (sorry!) but I do have a firmware update v2.0.4 for you to try. In this version: - arp midi output includes trans...

Re: Taurus III dust cover

Sorry I have been travelling and offline EM. I have one - it's great! Has The Moog Store sold out? It's fitted and yes almost exactly like the Voyager covers but in the T3 colour scheme. Given how much you love your Taurus I would phone them at the store even though they are sold out online because ...

Re: Confused by many products, which sounds ost like a Minio

EricK's advice makes perfect sense to me but can anybody please point to an actual popular recording and a specific holy grail "D" sound that one can't actually achieve with a Voyager and/or other MOOGs?
