Re: MOOG ONE VS PTOPHET TEN AND OB8X

I ended up getting the OBX8. Best polyphonic analog synth I’ve ever had. I once had an OBXA . Not sure how well it would be holding up by now considering it’s age. I would like to get the prophet 5 rev4 . Compared to the price of the current Minimoog model D RI it seems like it’s more cost effective...

Re: 1976 Model D restored

They don’t make them like that anymore. I would think that Minimoog has a very unique sound being that it was made in
The mid 70s . Welcome to the forum.

Re: Moog Voyager Oscillator Octave Issues

I have a voyager . It doesn’t have any of the problems with the octave settings like you were mentioning. I usually have my settings at 32, 16, 1. I do have drifting issues with my voyager. I can get it in tune and it stays in tune once I tune it upon turning it on. Although if I change the preset t...

Re: Anybody tried to marry a Moog Voyager together with Softube Modular or other VST synths?

I have Aparillo. It’s a soft synth that sounds very cinematic. I’ve really never heard anything like it. I have it on my ipadpro. That would be a great one to use . Sugar bytes is the developer . I also have factory also which is another one by sugarbytes. I haven’t used either one with my voyager. ...

Re: Just having fun

I lost my breath controller as well. Problem is that synths become a dinosaur in 5 years. I wish I had purchased analog synths back in the day instead of all the romplers I acquired. Analog synths fell out of fashion. Ironic though that current technology still tries to mimic analog subtractive synt...

Excellent information. Very insightful. Very pensive answers. I grant you both an honorary doctorate
In minimoog history and technical studies. I call it the MMMM.=Mini Moog Masters. LOL I was wondering if Till was going to chime in on that one. Thanks

Re: New Moog in the works? "LABYRINTH"

Have you ever considered a PRO3. It’s paraphonic , has three filters, seQ, ARP, stereo outs , stereo effects . Ladder filter,OB6 filter, Prophet6 filter. 2 VCOs one wavetable OSC. Can sound vintage and futuristic. Not a true poly synth but Not as expensive. Might work depending on your application. ...

Re: Just having fun

Well the ironic thing is I’m really a jazz piano player . I don’t consider myself a synthisist . I just like synths. Many years ago I purchased a used OBXA for $500 dollars at a studio in Dallas Texas. Wish I had never sold it. It came with a Kenton midi box and oberhiem sequencers. Don’t know how i...

Re: Just having fun

Wow there it is. Even could be used with a breath controller. That’s like a trip down memory lane. Synths have come such a long way since then. I have a vl70m I believe that’s what it’s called that I used to use with a breath controller. It’s not 19 inch it’s just a module like the korg X5DR. The mo...

Buchla Easel

Does anyone have a Buchla Easel or use any Buchla synths? I was interested in hearing what might be the pros and cons of using one. They seem so different and foreign to what I’m used to . Thanks any insight and perspective is appreciated.

Re: Just having fun

You seem to be big into keytars. I sometimes would use the Roland keytar with my Korg Z1 synth. The models of analog Synths are pretty good. My pitch wheel is messed up it got jammed from a fall. I would use the Roland as themaster controller midied up to the Z1 as a slave. I have the Roland JP8080 ...

Re: Just having fun

I remember that CS 01. I had one. I believe it was a grey color with sliders. Those have to be really old. I had put some money down on a Roland SH101 that looked like a keytar when I lived in Boston. Mass. Never paid it off or picked it up. It was at Daddy’s Junky Music I believe that was what it wa...

Re: Minimoog 2016 Reissue Problem

What happans when you turn the switch for the release on or off? I wonder if your synth got bumped or hit without you realizing it. Hope you find the problem and it’s an easy fix. I wonder if the envelopes are effected in any way.

Re: Just having fun

That’s the presets. I wonder what capabilities and features 3,6 OS gives the voyager. I’m always weary of firmware upgrades. I worry it might change things I’m not aware of . So I don’t upgrade. Do you prefer the 3.6 OS to the 3.5? I don’t know much about the 3.6 OS. I remember some people talking a...
