I made a thread about this with the MP201 a while back and am using a similar technique; using any of the MP's waveforms into the Carrier In to MIDI sync- as you noted its a little different than the internal lfo, but does the trick nicely. The squarewave has a significant volume drop though the ot...

ouch, things really gets quite complicated! I think I'd better trust my ears and let my finger find the right knob position. I definitely agree on that! in the meanwhile I found an alternative solution using my voyager OS and the VX-351: I send the lfo tri out of the voyager to the carrier in of th...

For completeness:

If the knob does go from 0 to 5.7 Volts, then you'd want to solve this equation:

Frequency = 0.6 e^(0.858395 x)

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=ex ... C+80%29%7D

So, for 4 Hz you'd want 2.21 Volts.

Also, I think this is a great example of where software would be preferable to hardware. It would be easy to sync with the track's tempo and would be easily repeatable. And if you're using the ring mod, don't forget that the Mix knob affects the way the tremolo sounds. Mix on 10 is quite different t...

Re: RING MODULATOR as a TREMOLO: how to sync it to MIDI?

hello forum people I have a mf ring mod that I'm using as a tremolo (amp mod) on a vocal line, with the internal osc acting in LO mode (LFO). I'd like to achieve a rythmical tremolo/gapper effect in sync with my MIDI clock master. I have a midi to cv converter and what I'm trying to do is: - I make...

Even if it didn't do the MIDI-to-CV stuff, I think it would be a good addition to your Moogerfoogers.

You can send the MP-201 a MIDI signal and it will output CV signals. For example, you could have a sequence on your computer or MIDI capable sequencer, output that sequence to the MP-201 via MIDI, and then send gate/pitch signals to your Old School. Alternatively, you could play another keyboard and...

You can set up auto-declines for OBO, might wanna consider like 850 as the lowest you'll go (or whatever you're good with.) That way you only get *real* offers. Oh, those 'bids' were all auto-declined. What is funny is that I think that the Little Phatty is a good buy at its list price. It sounds s...

Here's my list of offers via eBay:

$750, $790, $800, $699, $700, $501.99, $770, $720, $750, $800, $675, $700, $400.

Ugh. I'd guess that shipping is going to be $50 or so. Paypal fees will be $20 or $25. Ebay will take $50 or $60.

Doesn't look like I'll sell it today.

I'm hoping that a friend wants to buy it, but craigslist is definitely an option. My track record with craigslist isn't very good. Lots of tire-kickers and low-ballers. I've sold a few things through it, but it isn't my first place to try.

I've been getting a lot of offers on the Moog through eBay's 'best offer' thing. $800 seems to be what people think the LP2 is worth. Alas, after shipping and eBay/Paypal fees, that isn't such a good deal for me.

I'd imagine that they are just glorified extension cable mounts.

I think it is kind of funny that you folks want an expression pedal for your expression pedal.

Having said that, it does make sense to have some CV in options.
