Re: Post your latest purchase!!
has it lived up to your expectations? Yes, the Voyager XL is a pleasure to play with. Having lots of fun with patch cables and expression pedal. Feel that I should have invested on the Voyager XL long time ago. Not only the XL is an incredible semi-modular analog synth, it is also an excellent MIDI...

Re: Fresh board member with repeatedly broken XL
Hope your replacement XL is flawless, as it should ! Thanks! Today I went back to the dealer (ARMEN'S in midtown Manhattan) and exchanged the defective XL for a brand new one. So far the new XL is working 100% (including the F3 key). Got to admit that the whole concept of "patches" makes ...

Re: Fresh board member with repeatedly broken XL
Bought the XL brand new at a MOOG dealer in NYC. Think the keyboard MOOG uses are actually manufactured by FATAR... perhaps the F3 key was faulty when it left FATAR factory. Either way the dealer offered me to exchange the XL with another brand new XL.

Re: Fresh board member with repeatedly broken XL
My experience with MOOG tech support has been very good, obviously I prefer not to ever have faulty equipment  Coincidentally yesterday afternoon I bought a brand new Voyager XL and when I took it home I realized it has a dead key (F3). This morning I engaged MOOG tech support (still waiting f...

Re: Voyager EB default preset issue and more....
I am at a loss as to what the issues is, I've tried playing around with the SysEx transmission settings but this achieved nothing When using SysEx Librarian try to adjust the "Transmit Speed" to around 30% or 946 Bytes/Second. If the data is transmitted too fast, the Moog Voyager will not...

Re: Any Advice for a Sampler?
For a couple of years I've been using the Elektron's Octatrack and I love it. Besides being used as a sampler mostly for drums, it's also my MIDI sequencer for a couple of Moog synths (Minitaur, Voyager Rack), a Yamaha Motif Rack XS (for pianos) and my Moog Voyager Performer which is also my keyboar...

Re: Phatty up to Voyager
Recently I got a Voyager Performer and there's no turning back! For a while I used to have the same setup of a Little Phatty (x1) + Slim Phatty (x3) to achieve polyphony and to sequence independently. However the Moog Voyager has a much better keyboard (+ aftertouch), much better sounds and a it's b...

Re: Looking to buy my first new moog
Both the SLIM and the STAGE Phatty have the same electronics and sound alike . For increased polyphony I use together 3xSLIMs and 1xSTAGE, but if you just want the old school dirty monophonic sound, one SLIM would do (make sure you mess around with the analog overdrive).... have fun !

Re: I have just brought the LP and i can't get it to go into
Tech support is telling me I have to upgrade my USB firmware first and I need to run the included "LP_USB_V32" file first. I'm on MAC OSX and LP_Stage_StageII_v3_1_Update_OSX does not include a file "LP_USB_V32". They told me they would email me the file, and of course it's a .e...

Re: Little Phatty Factory Update to 3.1 (?!)
In my opinion is better to have a confirmation from Moog whether the new black-side-panels LPs will come with both hardware update and new firmware-groovatious- wrote:I'm assuming the new black endpanel LPs come with these hardware changes as standard?

Re: Little Phatty Factory Update to 3.1 (?!)
Alright, I got the answer from Moog (Amos) via email: The hardware update replaces the capacitors in the DAC circuits (the place where digital settings become analog control voltages), to improve the signal/noise ratio of the Phatty's CV controls. So I've decided to send my LP for the factory update...
