I'll check mine tonite to be sure, but i don't think that's normal, you may have a busted one.

Re: cv in to cv out
I'm pretty sure that you'll just get a transposed tone. I have the mod but haven't tried but the CV Pitch out is just a voltage based on the keypressed; when patched back to the CV IN, it is an offset of the keypressed so it will result in a pitch being much higher than the note you would normall p...

Re: Moog Guitar Custom Shop
I keep meaning to contact moog someday to ask if they'd sell the electronics alone to be shoehorned into a totally different guitar. I don't know if another guitar maker could get the Vo electronics working, so it would probably need to be handed off between moog and the builder back and forth. I'm...

Moog Guitar Custom Shop
Interesting. Hope they sell a few more. A good way to address all the people who thought the superstratish shape sucked. Question: Would Moog Custom Shop build a Moog with other pickups in addition to the Vo Pickups? Say, one well-isolated standard pickup in the neck, with a Vo at the bridge? I'd ca...

Very true. As i mentioned, guitars are a bit more upgradeable. Trumpets, not so much.EricK wrote:My "student model" reference was mainly in reference to my Bundy trumpet and Vito tenor sax. With instruments like that there really is a difference.

Re: Any Minimoog owners that also really like the Little Pha
it is more about the musician than the instrument. You are right, but if you have an instrument that is uninspiring, it's going to be hell to play. Like if you have a negative issue with a damaged instrument, it makes it hard to not think about that issue when it drains your creativity. If you have...

Re: What are midi/cv you using to conroll your foogers
For that many outs.... If you wish to drive it via computer..... The CopperLan stuff looks really neat, but not sure of cost/availability The ExpertSleepers stuff works really well, basically you would need a proper audio interface, and maybe the ES-3 or ES-4 The MOTU Volta stuff likewise. Otherwise...

Re: CV-out extension vs. CP-251
I wouldn't say the CP-251 has 'more possibilities' than the CV-outs, they do different things. The LP CV out will let you control stuff from the LP keyboard either by pitch , envelope or mod wheel. Sending pitch information to foogers can be lot's of fun (filter, LFO, etc) Likewise with the envelope...

Re: Attenuating the MF 107 question
If you want wanky sounds driven by your guitar, two ways: 1. using 'Hard Sync' - basically causing an oscillator to re-trigger and thus follow the guitar's pitch. Things that do this are Moog Freqbox, if you use the Audio path, Pigtronix Mothership, EHx Micro Synth/POG/HOG. Drawback: pretty much sin...

Re: Koma Elektronik-Moogerlike SVF and Gate/delay!!!
I DID look at the pics...they looked like 1/8" jacks to me. I'm just a dumb American though, so if I am wrong I will admit it. :) And what I meant by eurorack version of MoogerFoogers, I thought that they only had 1/8" jacks to coincide with the eurorack format, much like the MoogerFooger...

Re: Ring Mod as VCA?
I'd love to get a Massager for VCA needs. http://www.knasmusic.com/products/quadmassager/quadmassager.php Pretty white knobs! :D Amen! The Knas stuff all looks crazy fun, in a 1950s Martian kinda way. I have wonderful reverbs all over the place, but there is something really looney and attractive a...

Re: CP-251 S&H to Oberheim SEM?
I know nothing about the SEM, but... I'd suggest using the CP-251's Mixer instead of the Attenuator, tweak the Offset knob up/down and see if that helps. I find when hooking together odd bits of gear that sometimes even when grounded properly the gates, etc. don't seem to agree on things such as 0V,...
