Re: Adjusting volume curve when using expression pedal

A bit overkill to use to control theatre on a £35 expression pedal :-)
Maybe there should be a menu choice where you can select the taper of the pedal by company and model like on the Nord Electro 4?

Re: correct fuse for plug?

It is 240v in the UK. They never changed it. To come in line with Europe, everyone including the rest of Europe said they would go to 230v. They are allowed a 10% variance and that allowed everyone to stay at the voltage they were already at. Had to get my electricity supplier to turn down the sub s...

Re: Sub37 LFO RANGES!? Low setting..

If it can ever be implemented (maybe through the menu), can you have the LFO going even further into the audio range? An Ultra HI setting?

Re: Sub 37 vs Little Phatty: Sonics

I think the point being made was that it's only the first couple of mm of the pots travel from centre detent that are the sweet spot and its difficult to fine tune. Same with setting vibrato in the MOD section. All the settings you want to get at are in that first couple of mm of travel. Hi vinnybu...

Re: Sub 37 vs Little Phatty: Sonics

Hmmm... I slightly detune the Sub 37 Oscillators all the time with great success. And I gently modulate the Oscillators' WAVEshapes. And gently modulate the Filter Cutoff. I think the point being made was that it's only the first couple of mm of the pots travel from centre detent that are the sweet...

Re: Moog Sub 37 - is it analog, digital or hybrid?

I can't see too many people laying out the sort of money for a pro 12 without checking more than an advert in SOS and a few words from Dave Smith :-)
I don't own a pro 12 but I do own a pro 08 and I knew pretty much everything about that synth before buying it. Same with my Minitaur and Sub 37.

But seriously, thanks man!
Yes. Absolutely. Really appreciate all these updates Amos. Cheers.

Re: Adding simple vibrato with MW Sub 37

Annoyingly, things like Aftertouch in the same CONTROLLERS menu cannot be used at the same time. Hang tight, vinnyburns. The MODs are going to become much more powerful in future updates (but all of the improvements will not necessarily be in the next update). FWIW, you actually *can* use Mod Wheel...

Re: Adding simple vibrato with MW Sub 37

Hi Vinny thanks for your reply, but no I've tried that and pulling the MW down to its MIN position with the Mod Wheel amount in the Mod 1 controllers menu set to 100% won't shut the vibrato off. But setting the Mod Wheel amount to -100% in the Mod 1 Controllers menu DOES shut it off when the wheel ...

Re: Adding simple vibrato with MW Sub 37

In the mod 1 section under the controllers menu, you need to just have Mod Wheel set to 100% and turn, pitch amount knob up and then set the LFO to the speed you want.
Annoyingly, things like aftertouch in the same control menu cannot be used at the same time :-(

Re: Combine MOD Controllers

your observation is exactly correct; controller values are multiplied together, rather than being added. This was due to a technical limitation when originally implementing the mod bus architecture. An alternative controller mode where the controller values are added instead of being multiplied, is...

Re: Sub37 - Synth Video demo featuring talkbox

Hey guys! Before i got the Moog Sub37 i couldn't really find any demo's using sounds that i'd actually use so i thought i'd give a little back and make this video. Admittedly i got a little carried away! All sounds (except the drums which come courtesy of some 808 samples in Battery) are made entir...

Re: sub 37 bass

That does help-- and it is something that has held me back from purchasing the bass piano. It is a very rare purchase and not something that company makes a lot of so they don't have a sound demo for it like they do for their other pianos. I don't doubt that the sound of the piano is going to be re...

Re: sub 37 bass

I would say that in that particular video that at least 50% of that bass growl is coming from that Ampeg B15 the bass piano is plugged into. It's probably the most recorded classic bass amp and has a very distinctive sound. Sorry it's not much help, just wanted to point out the amp it was plugged in...
