can you post a link to those pictures (assuming they were online)? I would really like to see what either or both of them look like inside.

Re: Where to get moog style knobs and switches

Hi I'm planning on building a modular distortion box in a Moogerfoogerish housing. Does anybody know where i can find the knobs (both the large and small), the rocker switches and the back panel jacks used on the Foogers? cheers /mikael You can get black plastic jacks like MF jacks very easily. Cli...

ohhh ok... makes sense, now that i think of it all the old moog accessories (in the pics ive seen) did have other cable for CV and trig The accessories also (besides CV and/or gate leads) have a connector to take their power (10v) from Mini, or Micro. This is true for the moog drum, sample+hold, an...

Wonderful. It didn't occur to me that it needed replacement, I think because I first noticed it around the time I installed the K. Lightener Osc. Sync mod. So, I figured I knocked something out of place while I was in there. Incidentally, I later reversed the sync mod, having never actually physical...

MiniMoog Model D b linking pilot light

My MiniMoog's on light, the raised red light, intermittantly flashes, and won't stay lit. I'm thinking that it's shorting out against something, but I'm not sure what. I've read that other people have had the very same problem, so perhaps there is a common fix for this problem. Can anyone here offer...

Get some spray cleaner at Radio Shack, carefully open up your Prodigy, remove the circuit board, look behind the control panel to see where the switch is located on the circuit board, clean the switch contacts thoroughly with a soft toothbrush and spray cleaner. While your at it, clean the other swi...

!!yes!! ribbon and/or X/Y-controller!! :D I agree with this also. I would really like to see a new stand-alone touch-pad, like the old big briar one. I think it's the same pad as on the normal voyager (and left off of the RME and OS). They could just slap it into a wooden box with cv in/outs.

My slobbering iron  I would like to try one those projects someday. I can solder cables no problem, but thats all I've done. In what way can these projects be difficult? I started building some of these (and others--there are circuits available on the web for nearly every synth function-- and ...

Or you could build one yourself , as good or better than all those mentioned, for around $100:

Does anyone know how to modify the EP-1 or EP-2 to put out it's own voltage? The 1120 used a 9-volt battery, I imagine the internal components were pretty minimal. Does anyone have a schematic for the 1120? Thanks. This would not be difficult or complicated. But, it's even easier to use an un-power...

So, perhaps the Old School was designed to enhance the musician's "connectivity" with his(her) instrument. This is what I'd prefer from the Voyager. Just a straight forward analog engine and control circuitry. Without the processors, and patch storage, ect. I'm very curious to know if thi...

Since the OLD SCHOOL has no 'modern z80 processor' in it at all, does that mean even those front panel knob tweaks will be perfectly smooth? :?: :?: This is what I'm wondering also. Is the OS completely analog? Or did they just remove part of the digital control/memory. I can't wait to try it out.

I can't wait to try this voyager OS out. I was hoping Moog would make something like this. Actually, this is what I thought the LP was going to look like-- kind of like a Moogerfooger synth, with all of the CV controls, etc. But, will they strip all of the digital circuitry? Isn't the the keyboard a...

Thanks for the pic, Eric. You gotta admit- that's a pretty decent array of interface jacks for any keyboard synth out nowadays. I've seen a number of posts of people with modulars who want a decent keyboard controller, so possibly some of Moog's target audience is that crowd. You'd think with all t...

I would have guessed that they were reconfigured circuits from existing moog modules, but for the text describing them as prototypes that never made production. It's interesting that they share similarities with later drum synths, and drum machines. But also, I guess there had already been "dru...
