1. Rhodes Chroma (with a few spare voice cards and spare power supply!). Nice weighted keyboard, velocity sensitive and has the ability to sound like a lot of different polysynths. 2. memorymoog (LAMM) Not quite 'minimoog' sounding but close to it with the extra benefit of polyphony and a wider soun...

I guess there's a good chance that those "over 35's" actually remember the original minimoog production run and still remember the life changing event that playing thier first minimoog was . . you can't beat that. The great thing about the Voyager is it's allowing a whole new generation to...

MC It would take you a loooong time to get a sound out of the 200e! (and I mean just a bleep). It comes with a nine page manual which doesn't explain any of the actual physical functions, it just talks highbrow about synthesis. it's limited in that you can't use an audio signal to control voltage an...

This was made by an English Carpenter from 10 year old dry cured English Oak. The original case was dark stained boxwood (I still have the original case if anyone wants to offer me some beer money for it!). I think he made a very small batch . . maybe 2-3, it came via Adrian at SRS in Bedford UK (wh...

gert is a little fanaticle . . he has been collecting for the last 20 years and a lot of the stuff has been given to him. He has a large area in the museum where he fixes units . . there are often several minis laid out in pieces on the benches. he also has one of the largest collections of original...

Rick Wakeman was said to be able to differentiate between his 9 minimoogs and in fact he was on British TV in the early eighties on a show where he did just that, blindfolded he was led from minimoog to minimoog and he named them all correctly based on the (same patch) sound (he had names for them a...

Gerts mini doesn't have a serial number on the casework . . he told me that he was told it was a "pre-production" model. It was only after he opened her up that he found a serial number on one of the boards and also I believe in pen on the inside of the ali case (?). Could this unit be pre...

I know Gert Prix who runs the ebaordmuseum in Austria . . he is a friend of the family. He has 4 minimoogs, one is serial number 1001 . . opening her up all the boards are also serial 1001 so it's a little confusing if there are 2 minimoog model D's with serial number 1001 !!!! Here are some photos ...

MC I thought I read that while Bob was away at a trade show Bill Hemsath built, using modular moog parts that were in a "repair" bin the original "minmoog" model A. On Bobs return he was not sure about the "all in one - fixed path" but ordered up the guys to build 10 pr...

When Bob left Moog a few years after it was sold to Norlin he did not have anything to do with the synths that came after he went . . they followed his doctering but units such as the Prodigy, Source, Opus3 and memorymoog were developed by others . . heck, the original minimoog wasn't even designed ...

It's very early days for SRS and the Aurora . . I think Adrian will have a page up in the next few weeks and I know he is preparing mp3 samples of the unit. Speaking with Richard Lawson from RLMusic, it aparently sounds very good for the price, personally I think it is in need of a little design but...

If Dr. Moog is in therapy right now, I don't think he's working on a new synth until he recovers unless he laready designed it. I wish Bob a full recovery but i doubt after his ordeal he will be returning to work at moogmusic given his age and any long-term conditions. As it was before . . it's tim...

and there's no seperate envelope generator for the VCA but apparently it still sounds hot (the polysix and other synths only had one EG).

Adrian can build these things in but it adds to the cost.
