Re: Sub 37 + ?

Polychaining one synth off of the sub37 is kind of pointless, since you can't do it in duo mode. I know the difference between duo paraphonic and two notes of polyphony, don't get me wrong. But I'm saying it's almost not worth doing unless you're adding 2 or more. Minitaurs are great for this becaus...

Re: Double Minitaur

I have now sold off both of my minitaurs, to different people. I have these panels sitting here. Message me if you actually have two minitaurs and you can have them for the cost of shipping.

Re: Eurorack kit?

Meh. There are enough single voice euro modules available now I don't really see the point. And given how amazing the editor is, not having a USB port on the front..... bummer. If you REALLY want a Moog single voice converted for Euro, and don't want the obvious Motger32, convert a werkstadt. They a...

Re: Sub 37 poly chain questions

I polychain my S37 to a PAIR of minitaurs. How do you do that? With a midi splitter/thru box? Yes. The midi solutions quadra is a good piece. Cost is around $50, and can drive 4 minitaurs. The setup is a bit clunky, because your computer will only recognize one Minitaur at a time. So you have to co...

Re: Polychain question driving 2 slim phatties

They should, but the sub37's should also.

Personally, I'd use the sub37 over the LP as the "master". Yes, the sound is different, but not by much. What you gain is the single knob-per function control that the sub has over the original phatties.

Re: Which simple but effective seuqencer for Voyager

I love the sq-1. As a modulation/gate sequencer. Not as a melodic sequencer. Get a beatstep pro. They got a bit of a bad wrap on the initial launch due to buggy firmware, but it's all been resolved. I liked mine so much, that I bought a second one. It is an invaluable tool in my system, and I have 8...

Re: Please Help me decide!!!

I was unimpressed with the prophet 6 the first time I played it. Played it again a few months later and liked it. I've had my OB-6 for 5 hours now, and have only stopped playing it to response to this post.

BUY IT.

And I generally hate DSI products.

Re: Please Help me decide!!!

Well... What sounds do you want to make? The Prophet 6 sounds (arguably) like a Prophet 5, while the OB-6 sounds more like on OB-Xa. Which of those two appeals more to you? I just bought an OB-6, it should arrive today, actually. Check out the EXTENSIVE series of videos made by Automatic Gainsay on ...

Mults aren't mixers. 1 input, multiple outputs. If you need to mix two inputs, use a mixer.

Re: Example settings for Mooger's?

My favorite fooger trick is to use my Koma FT201 (filter sequencer, similar to a Murf) in the feedback loop of my 104m.

Slowly modulating the filter cutoff makes the delay "bloom" like a tape delay, but better.

Re: Cross-Compatibility between Sub 37 and Sub Phatty?

I'm 99% positive the answer is no. Even if it could actually load the patch, they wouldn't sound very similar since the sub37 is much more advanced. It's possible you could go phatty to 37, but not the other way. But even then, most of the modulation controls on the 37 are bipolar, and aren't on the...

I plug all of my moogs, including my modular, directly into my presonus firestudio(s). No signal issues, just crystal clear audio.
