Re: Model 15 and 953 triggering
I'm assuming you've figured it out by now. If not, I can only add that I too have a Model 15 but do not have the 953. I play mine from a Liberation and direct patch (no barrel connector). But I had a look at the doc which on the Moog web site and it could not be more confusing : ) I also have the or...

Re: New Model D ?
The Sub-37 has an internal PSU, why not this new Model D? Pot boards, many ribbons, and added jacks and midi takes space. The Vintage has a fair sized transformer, 3x fuses, two six position power accessory jacks, etc. it all occupies real estate and if crammed will create a potential heat situatio...

Re: New Model D ?
Right, I meant Pro 12. Prophet 10 is a different conversation all together; may as well add a GX to the conversation if talking about unobtainable. The 12 is more capable and a different beast all together, agreed. But considering the made in China feel and what was inside, the Pro-12 seemed expensi...

Re: New Model D ?
$3,495 is actually a very good price but that might just be speculation from somebody that doesn't know. If these are hand populated boards and hard to find transistor arrays, etc. I doubt they will be making them for that low price. Minimoogs (Vintage) will cost around $4K these days and mine, for ...

Re: CP4A and Envelope Trigger Help - System 35
That's what the doc suggests: http://www.moogmusic.com/sites/default/files/953_quickstart_10_27[1].pdf But the original schematic for the model 15/35/55 shows the same pin-outs. It's possible that Moog made either the Model 15 or 35/55 different than the original on reissue. I have the original sche...

Re: CP4A and Envelope Trigger Help - System 35
Indeed. MDN303 (the OP) posted on Muffs originally saying that he had the new 953 keyboard plugged into a Model 35 [new] and it wasn't working. Was a big of a go-around, but the "Controller Outputs" seem to be working properly. Obviously, the 953 has to be strapped correctly (startup seque...

Re: CP4A and Envelope Trigger Help - System 35
I have the original schematic for the System 35 and ONLY the first barrel connector is wired to the CP4a. Kevin Lightner (RIP) has the schematics on his Synthfool site but it's a bit difficult to follow because it's upside down and split across images; so have a look here: http://flic.kr/p/FHxJVW <-...

Re: MF Boost and Minitaur
Hi. I don't have any video/audio to share yet but I've been playing around with the Boost and the Minitaur and have found that the signal is indeed a very very very clean boost (e.g. no discernible difference at least playing through Yamaha HS-5 monitors) whether in bypass, VCA mode (switch down) an...

Re: MF Boost and Minitaur
Sure, I can do that. But what are you driving? The boost is a clean boost which will add some amount of db and some amount of warmth. Ideally it enhances with a bit of compression, your signal and drives a tub amp nicely but not aggressively. But if the signal chain is simply Minitaur out into the B...

Re: MF Boost and Minitaur
I have both (well, all three). What is it you would like to try exactly? I'm currently using my Boost as a clean, pedal powered VCA for my Bass rig; My Drive is a sometimes overdrive pedal but usually it just sits along with my other 4 drive type pedals. I need another expression pedal to really mak...

Re: Voyager OS - value
The value is equal to your agreeing on price with the bloke selling it such that the condition meets what you are after. I say that because I've seen them for $2000 on eBay (in the states), and have seen full blown Voyagers for not much more than that. At some point, maybe, the VOS's will be coveted...

Re: Little Phatty sounds not quite right any more...
Sounds as if the "little" patch only has a single OSC or no pulse width modulation, if indeed the patch is setup that way? Are the patches identical, otherwise? I had an issue with my Little Phatty Tribute some time after owning it and doing a recalibration took care of it. Confirm the set...

Re: VCA ADSR Envelope not working
Sounds like one of the analog board issues; I had the identical problem with my Voyager, except on the Filter Envelope (sustain worked and values registered the display but the envelope didn't run it's course properly). Contact Moog. It is possible that you have one of the Analog board in your synth...

Re: An idea...
If he was still with us, I would have gladly donated and shipped an empty pinball cabinet and piles of parts to Kevin for the project. Fact is I never saw this thread until now but strangely, I've seen the picture of the Moog pinball machine on Google Images over the years and never thought to look ...
