Re: Sub Phatty Headphone out not working
Talking of this - on the Sub 37 has anyone noticed a creeping noise only on the headphone out? I was on the sofa with it the other day so first time I' used the headphone jack and it was ok at first then after ten minutes there was more and more distortion noise creeping in (no it wasn't the patch/f...

Re: Moog, what's next to develop for the Sub37?...
Same here - parameter display would be most useful as it stand's now you can't de-construct even your own patches to know what you've moved and where to put it back (for experimentation) it should show original value + new value underneath so you can always go back. On quite a complex synth as this ...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
I guess I'd prefer lighter springs too - esp for the black keys! Also I think these springs on this fairly *ahem* cheap keybed is causing them to not sit straight and a bit wonky.. well maybe it's the springs who knows. One of my keys bends to the left a little leaving a larger gap between keys (I o...

Re: Bach tune in the style of Walter/Wendy Carlos
Nicely done! (clipping/distortion aside which I'm very sensitive to - too hot recording levels? too much limiter?). Anyway well done.

Re: Sub 37, SN, owner, location list
@subber37, absolutely not! I approach the Sub37 and the LP differently, and get different types of sounds and grooves going. I don't think either synth is inferior in sound quality to the other. Even the diminutive Subphatty has a sonic footprint that blew me away when I first turned it on. However...

Re: Sub 37, SN, owner, location list
Thanks Greg! I'm loving this Sub37! Its sound, and playability is completely different from the LP and the Voyager. The buried controls of the Subphatty just wasn't doing it for me. I didn't feel like I was in control of the thing. But now, I haven't been this excited about a new synth purchase for...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
I had a dead key upon arrival. I called Andy and he walked me through removing the keybed and fixing it on the spot without voiding the warranty. Works great now! Back in the day pro instruments were made to flip their lids to replace parts like keys (esp for tourers) so it would be a bit short-sig...

Bug Report: Patch loss / Patch update bug
If you make a new sound and then compare it to a previous sound in another slot, when you press compare again to revert to your current sound in progress - IF you don't hit a key on the keyboard the sound doesn't re-update (no lights move back to actual settings etc) - if you then hold save assuming...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
You know about your warranty being ruined right? Don't hesitate to take pictures of the inside and post them here :-) Please please please? There won't be much inside to look at - control panel will be an enclosed PCB (so no knobs to look at) and mainboard will be a small thing full of SMT - it won...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
further investigation today showed that a lose white plastic piece I found in the box of my SUB 37 turned out to be one of the key weights from under the keys!! - I thought that key felt a bit different. I've manage to clip it back in (just enough room) without dismantling, but the key sound...

Re: wood panel on the top left hand side not sitting flush
A lot of us have this! It appears to be the rear aluminium part is a bit too wide (vs the other parts inc the control panel). I just ignore it now but would have been nice to not be there letting dust in.

Re: SUB 37 LFO 2 RATE LED ISSUE?
Toom > Same here! Not only that but the LED doesn't dim smoothly but in jerky steps on slow rates - definitely acting differently to LFO 1 LED and should be looked at in a poss FW update/Fix! Can't see why the should work/look differently at same settings so yes - a bug. You can easily test by setti...

Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
It could, and I say only could ease up over time. It is a little stiff vs other keybeds I've used (but does feel decent quality too though - for most uses) some trills and taps need more pressure than light keys or you won't trigger the note, I'd say over time with the keys loosening up and you adap...

Re: Sub 37 clicks?
Have you tried moving the attack up (amp env) very slightly? could just be the super-fast envelopes, lots of analogs click like that ( a sign they are fast and can actually do very fast/sharp sounds like kick drums etc) - for sounds that don't require that 'click' you just up the attack on amp a sma...

Re: Sub 37 Osc Variance
Maybe a future tweak could be to choose a random amount between 1 and the number you choose so that you always have a little variance going on... Isn't that really what it already does? You just set the upper limit. Randomising the randomising limit may add even more granularity to the 'alive' feel...
