Re: MOOG ONE VS PTOPHET TEN AND OB8X
So I finally got to play a Sequential Prophet in person because I stumbled across in a Guitar Center. It was a Rev 2 and I just couldn't get that warm creamy tone out of it that I get from my Sub 37 and Matriarch. It did a lot of cool stuff and sounded nice but I need that tone. (I had the inclinati...

Re: MOOG ONE VS PTOPHET TEN AND OB8X
Thanks this is a great breakdown of the different instruments! I'd imagine the Prophet 5 and 6 fit in along with the sound of the Prophet 10, but just with less voices?

Re: "Sound" comparison Grandmother and Sub37?
I have a Sub 37 and a Matriarch so I can make that comparison for you. First, as expected, its a different playing experience of cables vs presets. The biggest thing is that when I pull up a Sub 37 preset modifying it on the fly is a little tough because the knobs don't reflect the actual position o...

Re: Sequential Trigon-6!
I still love my Sub 37 7 years on and so I'm not going to slight a monophonic synth one bit because it is beautiful at what it was created for. But, I would ALSO just like a more basic polyphonic synth from Moog.

Re: Sequential Trigon-6!
8 voices is great for jazz but 6 could also be plenty depending on the synth sounds you use. I refer to the rhodes for the polyphonic ADSR and velocity but if you have a fatter synth sound, dense 8-note chords that you could play on a piano could get muddy on the synth. Its timbre as well as harmony...

Sequential Trigon-6!
The new Sequential Trigon-6 looks to be what I was hoping Moog would follow-up the One with just as they created a Subsequent 25 after the Subsequent 37. It definitely doesn't do as much as the One but is 6-voice polyphony of 3 osc each through a ladder filter and it cost half what a One does. Just ...

Re: Guitar Amp for Moog
I'll second the Roland KC apps. I've had one or 15 or 20 years that has worked and sounded great with my keyboards.

Re: Subsequent 37 mono out
The real question is what do you want to get from having a stereo out? If you changed the features on the Subsequent 37, it might make sense but with the current features I don't know if it would add much. For example the Matriarch has a stereo out but that's also because it has a stereo filter, ste...

How important are dust covers for the long-term care of synths?
How important are dust covers for the long-term care of synths? I live in the mid-Atlantic coast of the US and so its not a particularly dusty area. Should I still invest dust covers for my Matriarch and Sub-37 to keep them working and sounding good for years to come? Or is it really just more of an...

Re: DFAM + MF Boost?
@kakashi Did you just buy the one off Guitar Center's website? I ended up ordering one off Reverb for $35 more. I'll report back how it goes once I get it.

DFAM + MF Boost?
Has anyone tried a DFAM + an MF Boost? I already have a DFAM and was thinking of getting a used MF Boost just to use as a volume pedal but I was wondering if anyone has experienced any other additional benefits/uses of them together beyond that?

Re: Subsequent CV 37 with CP251 and Moogerfoogers
I've used the CP251 with my Sub 37 and a Moog MF Drive and MF Delay and they work great! The manual shared above would work great but I'd also image there are YouTube videos for the CP251 and the Moogerfoogers. The Subsequent 37 would basically work very similarly with patching the CV outs of the CP...

Re: Matriarch: multiple oscs sound is phasey, volume and bass loss
Some of the knobs on the Matriarch can be very sensitive. I’ve had situations where at first glance all the osc looked like they in tune but when I played it sounded off because their tuning knobs were just slightly off center. But first I’d do a factory reset through the global parameters. There ar...

Re: Recommendations for flying w a DFAM
Really? They'll want to look inside of it? Have you had this happen? Did you check it or bring it in carry-on? I guess that doesn't matter for customs though.
