Cleaning Knob Panels
Does anyone have recommendations for cleaning knob panels on a Sub 37 or Matriarch? Mine have gotten pretty dusty. I was thinking maybe a vacuum cleaner with a brush nozzle. On a related note, my Sub 37 pitch and mod wheels had gotten a little gummy over the years and so I was able to carefully clea...

Two Expressions Pedals on a Matriarch?
Is there a way to connect two expression pedals with a Matriarch. I have the one set up through the back jack as explained in the manual. However, I'd like a second one. I was trying to add a 1/4" to 1/8" jack to the other expression pedal and then run it through one of the attenuators to ...

Taiwan? I hope that's not true that they would so quickly put everyone in Asheville out of work.

Yeah, these look interesting. I'd also be curious what people think of the Matriarch one.

Re: Should I get a Moog sound studio?
I would agree that those are two very different types of synths so it depends on what you want. Here are some questions: 1. Are you already a keyboard player? Is playing a keyboard something you already know how to do well (or want to learn better)? Sound Studio is awesome (I have a DFAM and Mavis) ...

Re: Battery Powered Mavis?
Interesting, that's cool. I didn't realize something like that existed.
I'd still be curious though if a DYI solution I make on my own for under $20 would still work if done well.

Battery Powered Mavis?
I recently got a Mavis and one of the fun things about it that with the lid it is very travel friendly - about the size of a book. I saw its power is +12 Volts DC, 1.2 Amperes. I was wondering if I wired up a 8 AA batteries in series I could just make a portable battery pack for the Mavis? Would tha...

Re: Moog Purchased by Inmusic ?
@carles It's definitely quite possible that the company wasn't quite as employee-centric as its it appeared (49% is still better than the more common 0%) but as you said, "There seems to be little hope that the recent buy-out will change things for the better in terms of such practices". W...

Re: New alliance for Moog, hopefully a great development
This is tragic. Part of my love of Moog is not only their sound and their instruments but their ethos as an employee-owned independent company that clearly cared about quality, community, and employees. That ethos allowed for a trust in the company. I have no reason to have trust in InMusic or any r...

New Moog in the works? "LABYRINTH"
I was looking into discussions of the Mavis on this board same someone posted about the registration of the Mavis trademark about two years before it was released: https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35396&p=182364&hilit=mavis#p182364 Out of curiosity I checked again and they...

Re: Matriarch Global Settings Editor
It probably depends on how the Matriarch is made and the flexibility of its firmware. I remember a couple years back when Moog released an editor for the Minitaur and a new firmware version that significantly expanded the instruments capabilities. It kinda depends on how much more is hiding inside i...

Re: Keeping Track of patches / music ideas?
Form my DFAM, I've wanted to get card stock and some nice 1.5cm hole punches so I could make my own patch cards that come with the DFAM. Probably wouldn't be too hard once you figured out the spacing for the initial version.

Ok, thanks that's good to know. I guess I'll just have to find a play to play a P6 or P10 some day.
