Re: Newbie Model D Question
It's generally not going to be 100% accuracy regarding the panel markings. Perhaps at first, but eventually there will be discrepancies which will prompt some routine maintenance. This is just the nature of the beast. Their Voyagers are the same way and modular stuff is also. Congrats on a fine synth.

Re: Voyager XL ribbon controller problems?
That was some cool sounding stereo though. Did you initialize the original parameters in the menu and start from scratch, routing the ribbon just to pitch? And then if possible turn the ribbon controller's control over the synth off and then use the CV outs to the pitch and then see if you get the s...

Re: Voyager XL as Model 15 Modular Controller
The Voyager's keyboard is Polyphonic via midi so maybe you can find a polyphonic Midi to CV converter.

Alaka,
I think "denigrating" is a slight overstatement.

Re: Voyager XL as Model 15 Modular Controller
Hi, The model 15 is duophonic in and of itself, albeit in a limited way. Since you own a modular, think about the Voyager in modular terms now and think about both instruments as part of a single system. You have an insert jack on the Voyager from which you candirectly access the unfiltered oscillat...

Re: Support
I sense a little bit of Roger Arrick's "Modularity" philospphy in what you are posting regarding it being hard-wired. My response is: So? The CP row is great. I have found that when trying to design a system for cabinets that lack the CP row, the CP row is dearly missed. Having to devote 1...

Re: Micromoog & multimoog with Moog 15
Micro vs multimoog is an interesting dilemma to choose between. You might want to go multimoog on this one because they are more rare and if you are going to be using it to interface with a 15, the wider range will benefit you there. Look for an attenuator on the rear next to the keboard output. Ear...

Don't believe that the Moog Asheville is stifled by New York Moog's forty year old mistakes. Moog is probably working on one right now.thealien666 wrote:Maybe that's the reason why the current Moog Music is reluctant to go into the polyphonic synth market, yet again ?

Re: Model 15/921B syncing
You won't get that kind of sync from a Moog 921b. Someone posted this video awhile bac https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ub2vQ7Ypls8 Here is an excerpt from an email from a friend of mine who talked about this issue with the production manager at Moog. As it turns out, the 921 design was NOT the synch...

Re: Voyager: cursor button dead
Ask Moog anyway, don't take anything you read here as an official advice. The exception to this is if you get a reply from "RL" who wrote the software for the Voyager. He is qualified to distinguish between a hardware vs software malfunction. Sometimes Amos will also reply, but over the l...

Re: I am grateful I have a Traumatic Brain Injury
It looks like your fooger selection is more effects driven and complimentary than focusing on sound generation, does that sound accurate? One thing that I've said repeatedly on here is that there really isn't a redundancy when it comes to modular gear. You can accomplish stereo filtering with anothe...

Re: playing the FreqBox vco...
Because Oscillators are constantly....oscillating, you have to have a vca to silence them. When I got a q119 sequencer from dotcom, I had to turn the volume down on my mixer or mute the channel to silence it. Playing a sequence of pitches will get you some articulation of the note, but it's going to...
