Re: Phatty poly mode question.
The poly mode works by counting how many notes have been presses and then playing the one assigned to that machine. If the phatty is voice 3/4 then on the third note played that synth would be triggered, and then once synth's 4/4, 1/4, 2/4 have played then synth 3/4 is used agian.

Re: 1V/Oct scaling on the MF-103 LFO
I just want to carify the issue you are having. When you play an octave on the keyboard. Is the 103's osc sharp or flat?

Re: 1V/Oct scaling on the MF-103 LFO
If your source is 1v/octave it can be attenuated down to 0.6v/oct.

Re: 1V/Oct scaling on the MF-103 LFO
all you need is a simple attenuator, such as a pot or two to decrease the scale.

Re: Is the Taurus III for me? (Newbie questions inside)
Mp-201? Yeah, it's a bummer they discontinued it. They are going for $850 now on evilBay. No way I'm throwing down that kinda change for a couple extra LFO waveforms. That would be ideal though, I forgot about that pedal. I was really disapointed when I found out it was discontinued too. The mp-201...

It could be hitting the resonant frequency of your room.

Re: Anyone give me tips on a future DIY build?
The nice thing about my wurli is that the things which are labled (mostly voltage requrements and ESD warnings) are in english, though I assume that +15V probaby looks similar in Italian  I also have a yammaha organ which is much older (I didn't see a single ic in there, the closest things to ...

Re: Minitaur blew fuse Urei 813 Monitor bug3
The structural damage could be real. I was playing with my foogers a couple days ago, which resulted in a couple things falling over in the next room. The bass seems to collect in the walls.

Re: Anyone give me tips on a future DIY build?
I have a wurli that is likely about to undergo a similar process as it does't work and I'm not sure where that capacitor I smelled last time I turned it on is. The organ is really big, smells funny and some of those boards may be cooler in a smaller box, like putting the drum tone board into a drum ...

Re: Minitaur blew fuse Urei 813 Monitor bug3
well lucky they have a fuse --similar to a bulb I think its a bug because the Voyager never blew a fuse and I use it often, they need to limit the low end just a little so its safe to use I would hate to run it through a decent PA unless are some kid into techno or dub step :) that gets off on bass...

Sometimes, for bass sounds, I like tuning the sync'd osc lower than osc1

Re: Minitaur blew fuse Urei 813 Monitor bug3
I love those moments when I think that I've destroyed my speakers with too much raw synthesizer just to realize that the sound just sounded like the speakers were blown.
