Re: How about a LP rack version
With comprehensive CV I/O then absolutely (it would presumably be quite a bit cheaper than the Voyager RME, and still all I need). Without the CV I/O, or with very limited CV options, much less interested.

Re: Little Phatty vs. Voyager: With one should I buy?
Personally, I went with the LP not because I couldn't afford the Voyager (I could), but because I liked it better. Yes, the feature set is more limited, but it still does much more than my old Model D used to do (although I wouldn't be happy with it if I didn't also have a CP-251). And I find that m...

Another way to look at it ... you're only going to buy one right now, but in the future you might still want both. Since the Taurus is likely to be much less available than the LP as time goes by, I'd get that now since you will still have lots of LP options later on, but probably not vice-versa. Al...

In the mean time, you might also want to experiment with the Scala software:

One of its features is the ability to send real-time MIDI pitch-bend data in order to get various scales out of any MIDI keyboard. I haven't used it for that, but people say it works.

I would guess that doing various non-12 equal temperments (like quarter-tone which is 24-TET) would be fairly straightforward since you're still dealing with equal logarithmic increments. Doing just temperaments or other scales with unequal steps might be trickier, but this is something I'd love to ...

Just speaking in terms of my own feelings and priorities, the point is moot. What I value about older Moog instruments is that, through whatever means, they achieved a certain level of quality and interactivity. Instruments of the future which have similar properties would be similarly valuable to m...

Future Retro Orb and MIDI-CV question
I'm thinking of getting a Future Retro Orb to use with my Little Phatty and Moogerfoogers. So the question -- does the Orb's MIDI-CV function work well with Moogerfoogers? What I'm thinking of is using the LP MIDI out and converting it to CV with the Orb to control things like the Freqbox frequency ...

+1 to Just Me's remarks on PTP wiring. I think in an amp it can sometimes make sense, but in a pedal I doubt it's ever an advantage. And even in amps, a well-designed circuit board can give you the same design features with the added benefit of mechanical soundness. IMO, the very best design is a we...

Back in August I was corresponding a bit with SF Marketing in Montreal, since I got their name from Moog as a service center that could probably do the work. This stalled because they hadn't heard of the mod yet, and said they had to wait for information from Moog before they could set pricing. The ...

I use the Moogerfoogers fairly often to generate free-running drones and other textures (especially wind type things using the CP-251 noise and modulating the Lowpass cutoff in various ways). Another thing I like is setting the Lowpass resonance right on the edge of self-oscillation, and then using ...
