The problem is that only one program can connect to the Sub at any given time via one link. This is not generally true: when using a Mac multiple programs can use the same connection. Minitaur and Sub Phatty seem to be first in line for firmware updates, judging from the activity on the beta forum.

Have contacted the seller or Moog support? That's what I would do to get these issues fixed.

That factory preset is called 'RUNNER RUNNING'.

It's not listed in the list of MIDI CC's in the manual, so I guess not, but you could check to make sure by running a MIDI monitor program like MIDI-OX (Windows) or MIDI Monitor (Mac), connecting your synth to your computer and seeing if anything gets sent when turning that pot.

There is a knob calibration routine available for the Sub37 but I haven't needed to do this yet. Did you make that up? :) I'm just a new Sub 37 owner but I don't see that in the manual. Even if you find that everything is working okay and you don't want to return it, I'd still let the dealer know ASAP you weren't happy with how it arrived at your place. The longer you wait, the more reason for them to suspect you dropped it yourself or something like that.
