Re: Ratcheting!
Thanks for the reply! I had been eyeing the Pro2, did not like the demos too much, then played one at a local shop. Did not do it for me sound-wise. Lots of great features, but the sound just didn't do it. Hence my question

My Maschine requires a computer. Doesn't yours?

Re: Sub 37 as MIDI controller (beat step pro or maschine)
Maschine will not work without a computer. The beatstep will hook to the Sub 37 via MIDI so you can use it's sequencer and tools to drive the Sub. Using the Sub to control the beatstep doesn't really make sense since the beatstep is not a sound source. All that said, the Sub by itself has a terrific...

Re: alternate tunings for sub phatty? arpeggiator?
Yes, Live has several arpeggiators available. I've used the alternate tunings app a lot with the SubP - it's great!

Re: Ratcheting!
May I ask why you are swapping a Pro 2 for a Sub 37? It's not a troll question (even though I am troll ugly) I am very curious because they are both such excellent instruments. What was it about the DSI that you didn't like?

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?
Mine is finally on its way I ordered the *DAY AFTER* the official announcement and this is how long it took! Not complaining, my fault for waiting a day to get on a list I knew was going to be long. Tuesday is the magic day.

Re: Help a guitar player make up his mind?
I am mainly a guitar player, but have been into synths since my Arp Odyssey in the seventies I have both the Sub P and the Sub 37 - love them. Get the 37, it's a lot more instrument!

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?
Maybe not so funny after all :? but, yeah, it was a lame joke. I got what you were saying, although I have to say that I don't work that way. I find an Init Preset somewhere or Init an existing one and go to town. I think I have a map in my head of where the knobs are for Init but then I physically ...

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?
I use a preset for that.If you haven't already, make the one-time investment of memorizing how to quickly put all the knobs to their actual INIT PRESET values.

Re: Beatstep pro + Sub 37
I just want to point out that while this might be true if you are using CVs you certainly can do many more octaves using MIDI. Just in case someone comes in during the middle of this conversationIf you want to write a sequence that spans more than 5 octaves then I don't think you can use a Moog

Re: Anyone else have this issue with their Sub37?
And how do you have it hooked up? Are you using MIDI? Is it possibly a MIDI loop?
I have not had this issue and I have had my Sub37 for almost a year.
