Re: MIDI Freezing/detuning Moog Gear [Help}
Two quick guesses are that you are suffering some sort of MIDI loop or your interfaces aren't up to it (I had lag problems with a simple 2*2). Try just one MIDIsport, try connecting less devices at once to narrow down the problem, and try disconnecting the MIDI out from the synths (one at a time) ba...

Re: Minimoog voyager select series ..audio
Are both outputs connected? Is the right output connected by mistake? In dual low pass mode, try with the left output only -- do the cutoff and spacing controls work properly? Now try the right output. In high pass--low pass mode, do you get proper band pass when adjusting the cutoff and spacing con...

Re: Has the Voyager no sustain pedal facility?
There's an ENV KEYBOARD ON/EXTERNAL switch on the front panel; (I don't have a Voyager with me) you switch that on for every patch you need, and plug a footswitch into ENV GATE. For legato modes, you'd want to configure your patches as single trigger not multi trigger and with non-zero sustain so th...

Re: Has the Voyager no sustain pedal facility?
Well, it has a trigger input for the EGs, so an option is to trigger and hold the pedal, which will maintain the "sustain" level as long as the switch is down. You have an analogue monosynth, not a piano/home organ so you shouldn't expect the same behaviour! What exactly would you like the...

Surprise surprise, the Doepfer A-111-2 uses a 3340; Dieter Doepfer was a main influence in getting these CEM chips reissued.

Re: µA726
I don't have practical experience with this chip as I've never designed with it, but I've listened in on quite a few discussions at MuffWiggler. Before rumours (and they're just that at the moment; there's no confirmation that this will happen) of a new run of 726s, there were people looking into pl...

Re: Will new Model D parts be available to vintage Mini owne
On the silicon side, 3046 is (barely) still available, at least in SOIC or some other SMT package. u726s are basically unobtainium, but there is a guy on MuffWiggler looking at getting some vactrols (full of naughty cadmium) and perhaps u726s after. The French Minimoog clone has a dual FET (LS3954),...

Re: MF-108M malfunction: All leds are yellow
Normally this isn't a good sign, there's a few known instances of MuRF pedals lighting up yellow/orange which meant something had gone awry with the CPU/MCU. Definitely look at sending it back for repair under warranty. With luck it could be something in the power supply section caused by an intermi...

Re: Select/EB - Black LCD cover / faceplate?
You might consider getting source files from Moog or measuring up the original plastic part, then getting your own cut from one of the laser services like Ponoko or Formulor. You could do infill engraving or leave it blank. I bet the design is very simple and would be very quick and cheap to do.

Apparently these are (for the moment) only able to be built at Moogfest with an engineer ticket.

BFAM, or Brother from another mother.
Looks like a companion module to the M-32, built in osc, filter and EG just from that partial image.

Folks, this is real hardware:

From another post apparently it's just the art project and not slated for general release.
More to come as Moogfest starts!

Re: 921 clamping point?
Thanks Eric, this one's much clearer.
Seems like the clamp control acts on the positive slope up to 12 o'clock then starts working on the negative portion?
Cool sounds, enjoy those lovely oscs!

Re: 921 clamping point?
You're certainly getting some wavefolding going on there! It's still a bit too hard to say exactly what the clamp is doing: is it a phase shift or some sort of voltage threshold (comparator)? Is the master 901 running at an independent frequency? Or is it one big feedback loop? Might a more straight...

Re: 921 clamping point?
I'll have to leave Eric to detail the results, but apparently the 921 doesn't do regular hard (reset) sync, but operates on a phased lock loop (PLL) system. While this can approximate synchronisation (e.g. MF-107 Freqbox) it's more likely to emphasise certain harmonics relative to phase.
