Re: Sub 37 mod questions

1. yes
2. no
3. likely though not sure if a 1.1. version was printed so you may only be getting the original manual. In which case you would want to download the latest manual.

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?

One more question Dan, How easy is the sequencer to use in comparison to the Sub 37? Can the CV easily be used to sequence the Sub 37?

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?

just to chime in I am also interested in the same questions as slabwax regarding how the Mother interfaces with the Sub 37. That would probably me the most immediate reason for me to want one.

Second, will buying one turn me into a slave to eurocrack modular :)

Re: Final Production of the Voyager Announced

I'm scared to see what the upcoming Mother 32 is that they refer to in the announcement. I *just* bought a Sub 37! Now I'm going to be GASing for whatever new thing Moog made. My own character fault, of course, haha I wouldn't be concerned about Mother-32 ... it's a smaller one oscillator synth mod...

Re: Sub 37 Slaved to Analog Rytm?

Just an update to my original post. I did end up purchasing a Midi Thru box with 4 outs (MIDI Solutions) from Sweetwater. I hooked up my Sub 37 and DSI Pro 2 both running their own sequencer. All worked as expected with the box being powered by the Rytm and the two synths being correctly synced to t...

Re: Sub 37 Slaved to Analog Rytm?

I did confirm from Elektron that the Rytm does not send midi clock via the thru port unless there is an input clock to pass. They seemed to suggest it would send a DIN24 or DIN48 clock instead of MIDI clock (not quite sure what that is) but I tried it and the Sub 37 didn't respond to it either. So D...

Re: Sub 37 - External sync & LFO

Assuming that the Sub 37 is receiving clock correctly via external sync, a couple of things to check. Turning the arp rate knob will result in a tempo precisely related to the clock signal (but faster or slower). There is a Preset Edit parameter Arpeggiator ==> Clock Div which I believe is the saved...

Re: Best stand for Sub37?

I did almost the same thing. Then I added an extra tier above it, on a hinged mount so I can access the routing for the moogerfooger. Nice job. One tier is enough for me at the moment but now I am thinking if I need to expand more maybe I could add a third tier on  I did also build a second sh...

Re: Sub 37 - External sync & LFO

Yes you can only affect arp speed if it is internal (not synced). You can then change it using mod1/mod2 or a pedal assigned to it. If it is synced externally you cannot modify the rate with any controls other than the arp rate ... which will base the new tempo on a variation of the synced clock inp...

Re: Sub 37 Slaved to Analog Rytm?

Part of the problem is that, daisy-chaining MIDI (Clock, Notes, whatever) adds a finite amount of latency each time you run it thru something. So... the best way to distribute MIDI Clock is via a MIDI Thru box. That way, every device is getting the same amount of latency (and less of it, as well). ...

Re: Sub 37 Slaved to Analog Rytm?

ok well after more messing around I was able to get the Sub 37 working in sync with the Rytm(tempo/start/stop). I was not able to quite use the output correctly using Sub37 thru port to the Pro 2 to continue the sync only. Nor was I able to sync the sub 37 using the thru port of the Pro 2. The Rytm ...

Re: what are you doing with your Sub 37?

Well I am still learning how to coax more sounds out of it ... but I have to admit now that I have a Pro 2 beside it and a drum machine ... I really love just playing bass on it. That filter with a pedal .... pure awesome! Ok well you can't blame me for that ... I am a bass player :)

Re: Best stand for Sub37?

I bought a Gator Frameworks heavy duty table stand for sitting at. Then I build a custom shelf to sit on top which houses the Sub 37 which has an angled top shelf above to hold pedals and drum machine. Really nice having the other gear close by but it's a studio only setup.

Sub 37 Slaved to Analog Rytm?

Hey Moogys ... Wondering if one of you has succesfully synced their Sub 37 to An Elektron Analog Rytm? I am hoping to set the temp of the sequencer to the Rytm. I have already slaved my DSI Pro2 to the Rytm and it temp syncs as well as starts/stops in response to the Rytm. However going to the Sub37...

Re: Sub 37 editor/librarian and VST plugin

Posted in gearslutz today (Sep 10) by Amos (in response to editor software): Sorry about that; we're a small operation. It's difficult to balance multiple projects, which is a pretty constant necessity... If I had to guess right now, I'd say everything should be wrapped up in 2-4 weeks. That is a no...
