I like the Orbiter name. How about a name from a myth or legend... we have the Taurus I and II. Maybe Aquarius or something like that. Being that the side panels are "organic" and flowing (watery - plus the sailboat photoshop!), and not all hard-edge and blocky-like. And the sounds the syn...

I just got an MG-1 a few weeks back. Pretty damn cool. The polyphony isn't so bad when you slide the bell tone partway up, and have the oscs synced and the detune set at -2. I need to spend more time playing around with it... I've been trying to get my room cleaned up so I can have a nice "musi...

I hope it hasn't got that awful blue colour scheme though! AWFUL???? Oh hellllll no! I think the new Moog synth should have some cool colored panel like the sonic six or source. I wanna feel like I'm working at NASA when I play it. Maybe part of what makes the new synth "hip" is a swappab...

www.rlmusic.co.uk have a look for yourself. Bob spends a good few minutes askign about the taurus concept and his eyes widened in surprise or shock when he finds out how much they go for now! :) In that same interview , he does mention "a simpler, low cost basic monophonic instrument, with bas...

Perhaps its a Moog Phaser. Afterall they already have been pioneering the Alien Technology for over 40 years. It does look like a gun... IT looks mostly like a funky side panel for a funky synth. So maybe IT's not "just another" analog synth, but has some funky feature to IT? Most o...

sounds even cooler with delay, preferably analog! I agree, right now, I am going mono out of my FR777 (set at 46 bpm) into the Mooger LPF and then into the Mooger Phase, stereo outs each into a 104z Moog delay. (each with a Moog RM in it's effect loop) Tweaking the filter sounds amazing. There is a...

I can't imagine it would be VA or digital. It looks kinda like Raymond Scott's Circle Machine. Instead of a crank you have a knob to twist. That would be cool. http://raymondscott.com/circle.html I am probably dead wrong but I should at least get creative points. You defintely get creative points f...

I downloaded that demo, it's awesome 8) I saw a Polivoks on ebay recently, wasn't sure what to think about it. If I had the expendable income, I would have bought it just for the oddity factor.

They emphasize "IT" as well, in all capitals. IT... an acronymn ? Or does it signify that this is a definitive product? (Which I thought the Voyager is.) Or is it just referring to... an object ?! ;) Also, the LED to the immediate left (not in the picture) is illuminated. You can see its (...

I remember the days when I coulda picked up MG-1s and Rogues for $50. That almost makes me want to cry. I just got an MG-1 on ebay, still waiting for it to arrive though; it ran up to about $450. I justified the cost because it was recently serviced by Kevin Lightner. I want to email him as soon as...

Maybe it should also say, "do not feed after midnight, and keep it out of bright light." :)

I was thinking about the wood vs no wood for a new, possible "lower-end" Moog synth. They could just go the route of the MoogerFoogers and add the thin wood panels to the sides :)
