Re: I'm sure most of you saw this ?

Peace be back at ya, my alien666 friend :) And please accept my apologies for blaming the great nation of Canada for what I perceived to be hurtful comments about my beautiful Aluminum, as well as my love of identical sounding Voyagers in different-colored clothing. Wait till you folks see the alumi...

Re: I'm sure most of you saw this ?

By special arrangement with Moog Music, I'm delighted to be the owner of Aluminum Voyager #007 :) I received it about 10 days ago, and it has already seen time on several live shows. The aluminum body is a stunning work of art, it lives on an aluminum Ultimate Support column stand with an aluminum M...

Re: Hans Zimmer's HUGE Modular! Custom Modules?

Love that pic of HZ:) I can't tell by looking, but doesn't Hans also have the largest collection of Polyfusion modules? They're from that era...maybe there's Polyfusion in there. Steve Porcaro had his 'Damius' PF system at that time and played part of the "Rosanna" solo on it (the part tha...

Yep! And totally excited about it...it looks like the Harley-Davidson of synths :D Can't wait! It's going to look killer on stage...

Re: Time for Moog to balls up.

Moog *did* do that. Ever heard of Moog CE? Some great products came out of that division. Guy named Bucki worked there... Very, VERY familiar with the history of Moog, my friend;) I also read this forum, too. But 'this' Moog company isn't 'that' Moog, right? If it was, people would still be bitchin...

Re: Time for Moog to balls up.

+1, that this thread and others like it should be relegated to a new sub forum... In the past year, I've whittled my analog polysynths down to an Xpander, an OB-8 and and a CS-60. Sold my Memorymoog and Jupiter-8, felt I had done everything with them that I was likely to, they've both gone on to hap...

Aluminum Voyager - NAMM 2014

Just saw the post & pic on Matrix for the limited edition aluminum ('aluminium' for those across the pond) Voyager, very excited about this - anybody got any more info? Price? Number being made? When available? Blue panel, like the one-off from this past summer or will there be a choice of colors?

Re: New product to replace LP?

Something else in the Minitaur format, maybe? A 'NanoMoog', with basic Model D capabilities and some hidden/software editor-only parameters squashed into that footprint, that could be rack-mounted right alongside the Minitaur? I know I'm not going to get a PolyEvolver-style unit with no knobs and fo...

Re: Sell it all for a Voyager?

Dude, if you don't buy the Voyager, I will:) Seriously, it's a superb controller and a quality instrument. If you just read the manual, play with it and ask questions here in the forums, you'll be fine. It'll look killer on stage, too - what color wood & lights? I do agree that it should work in...

Re: What are your favorite Moog albums?

Some great albums here, I'd like to mention Patrick Moraz' "The Story of i"...cool blend of prog and Brazilian styles & percussion, screaming Minimoog solos and wasn't this the first record to feature the Polymoog? And wasn't Keith Emerson pissed off about that? I seem to recall in a K...

Best Memorymoog tech in the US?

"To the fairest!" Kidding aside, I'm looking to get my Memorymoog (with + retrofit) overhauled & calibrated. I'm located in Albuquerque. With much respect to Rudi, Germany ain't an option, not for the cost of 2-3 used RMEs....I do wish our buds at the current Moog had someone wh...

Re: I love Moog but [rant]

To me, MC's guitar analogy is spot-on: Gibson and Fender routinely make limited, collectible versions of their instruments, often in the form of reissues of things like Jimmy Page's Les Paul or Clapton's favorite Strat or whatever. These instruments carry hefty price tags and are almost never bought...
