Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody
If there is one thing that I've learned over the many years of owning and playing many different synths, it's that you cannot rely solely on traces on an oscilloscope to compare the overall sounds between them. Yup. Measurements in the frequency domain reveal a lot more. A standard 'scope measures ...

Re: Moog Source via MCV4 CV Scaling woes
There's no trimpot in the Source to adjust the CV scaling. You'd have to adjust the scaling at the MIDI->CV converter.

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody
That said, if you want immediate classic poly sounds, that synth is probably not for you. And the P6, OB6 or vintage units are probably much more appropriate. So , yes, as I would say from the A6, “not a synth for everybody “. Heartily agree. Synths like Andromeda and M1 are not "instant grati...

Re: The One Vocoder?
You need a mic preamp. The output of a mic is very small and it is unlikely that the M1 trim has enough gain for a microphone.

I upgraded to v2.0.3 and never had issues with the DIN port.

Great that you got it sorted out.

Happy owner since 1985. Underrated for years because it didn't have a panel full of knobs, now it is getting some respect. I have T1 and vintage Minimoog, and the Source can hold its own against them.

Are Q13, Q17, Q21, Q25 a matched set? Q14, Q18, Q22, Q26 matched?
You are aware that the test circuit from the service manual for matching PNPs is incorrect, yes?
If any of them are unmatched that is where the feedthrough comes from. The 904B has no trimpot for reducing feedthrough.

Re: VX-351 outputs -5V
This is precisely why MIDI was invented: there has never been an industry standard on CV ranges and trigger voltage/polarity.
Like everyone else since the 1970s, you had to build converters to get synthesizers to talk to each other.

The Voyager has an INIT PATCH function.
Can one be programmed on the MO such that INIT PATCH plays "JUMP"?

Re: when will the case be available?
I still cart my Memorymoog - which weighs as much as the Moog One - in an Anvil ATA case. Cheaper cases do not last and polymer cases crack with age. Also be careful with cases using the "ATA" badge loosely, many of them are not ATA compliant. Weight doesn't bother me, lifting heavy stuff ...

Re: Moog One SOURCE Requests
I have used smoothed S&H (present in the Moog One) as a modulator to panning on the Voyager. It's a cool effect. Polyphonic smoothed S&H -> panning -per voice - would be a major head trip.

Re: Moog One SOURCE Requests
Did I write voice count? I meant voice number. Hi MC, my bad. I missed what you were asking for. So you're talking about a value that represents which particular voice card of the 16 (or 8 ) voice cards is firing as a modulation source? To clarify... not to be confused with using key number as a so...
