Re: Sub 37 cut off pot issue

I don't think so. The main difference on the right panel board of the Sub37 is that the old filter cutoff pot is surface mounted vs the new pot is back mounted. Thus the whole construction is more solid. Simply replacing the plastic shaft pot with a metal shaft pot did obviously not solve the problem...

Re: Sub 37 cut off pot issue

AFAIK the exact same pots were used on the Voyager and the Sub Phatty. On the 37 there probably was just a very unfortunate combination of physics (larger pot, panel flex) going on. According to the tech, they generally don't fail.

Re: Sub 37 cut off pot issue

OK.. I just posted something similar to this. My filter knob is behaving similarly.. but do you also have the multidrive knob adjusting filter cutoff when it's glitching like this? (takes a bit of fiddling to make this happen, but if's def happening here) I have not tried that. Anyway, I suggest to...

Re: Sub 37 cut off pot issue

Just for the record, now my Sub37 #2232 has developed the same problem. Around 300Hz. I contacted the local distributor and was adviced to bring the Synth for a service. I'll report back how it went in a week or two. Totally forgot to report back, because it went so smoothly! Right after contacting...

Re: Throw me a rope

Hi James, First off congratulations to your Sub37! It's a great synth, and IMO one of the best to start with and get into sound design and learning synth stuff. Because on one hand it's rather basic and old school, and you can work with just the hardware knobs you have there. On the other hand it's ...

Re: 1/3 and 2/3 filter keyboard tracking

Problem is either I'm not an english native speaker (totally possible cause) [...] Me neither... ..Ok we seem to agree indeed  Great! :D BTW, thanks again for pointing out that it's possible to use keys/octaves to get ratios for the tracking. Altough the concept is obvious, it didn't occur to ...

Re: 1/3 and 2/3 filter keyboard tracking

So it's more like: you'll have to play the fourth C to get a frequency 2 octaves higher than the first key [...] Which is exactly what I said: So you would have to play the fourth C to get the double octave from the first key. IOW: With 2/3 KB tracking you have to play the fourth C (triple (!) octa...

Re: 1/3 and 2/3 filter keyboard tracking

At KB tracking = 2/3, you will need to play the second next C key to have the resonance peak increased by one octave. To find that setting, play alternatively the first and the third C keys adjusting the KB tracking untill the two resulting resonance peaks are separated by one octave. Great idea do...

Re: Sub 37 Editor v1.0.0 & Firmware v1.2.0 is now available

Tried to install the new firmware on my Sub 37 and now all the lights are turned on, the screen is blank and I get no sound or Midi. Tried several times to install, turned it on and off, no luck. Any tips? Had that happen to me once... my heart nearly stopped! But I just startet the whole process a...

Re: Sub 37 Cookbook?

Thank you very much for providing this website! It's always great to have a platform to distribute and exchange sounds. I've downloaded a set of patches and they inspired me to soon provide a couple of my own. IMO, it'd be a bad idea to force users to upload their own work before being able to see/d...
