Re: 921 clamping point?
Thanks, I did see that one, but it still doesn't explain what it does, just how to calibrate and what a 921A/B is for. A demo would be great!

921 clamping point?
On the 921 oscillator, there's a knob marked "Clamping Point." I understand that it has something to do with sync, but I haven't found an explanation of what it does. Perhaps setting a comparator threshold for a kind of soft sync? What are the sonic effects when the signal is below/near/at...

Re: Minimoog-ish tribute for $700
This is the other one, which can be completed with almost (I think) no panel wiring.

https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=135211 This is the MW thread; lots of people had the idea of re-panelling it. Minimoog-ish tribute for $700
Old Crow has launched a Kickstarter for his Crowminius project: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1312542133/crowminius-desktop-analog-music-synthesizer As far as I know, this is a discrete recreation of a Model D housed in an attaché case. For me, the interface is too cramped for a performance i...

Re: MF-105M SysEx implementation?
I'd send an email to Amos who worked on the MuRF firmware. If there's no record, one could run the editor software through a virtual MIDI port (e.g. MIDIox), take note of the sysex transfer and decode it that way. A bit annoying, but it depends on how desperate you are.

Re: Perfect OSC2 + OSC3 unison tuning
Even if the oscs are perfectly matched frequency-wise, there's nothing to guarantee the phase relationship. They're free-running oscillators, and that's actually the point to get a fatter sound out of them. If you want sync, you can select that for 1-2 but not for 3.

Re: MF-102, mf-103: 12-15 volts?
The older 'foogers were completely analogue and didn't require regulated power, and even specified in the manuals that you could use a higher voltage adapter (as you noticed). Add to this there wasn't guaranteed pitch control or temperature tracking on oscillators and such; the original intent was c...

Re: Slew Rate Mod: what exactly is it?
The Voyager main PCB is so complex it's no use asking which caps are responsible without referring to a schematic or layout. Basically each stage under the control of an opamp can be made into a filter. When using fast/high bandwidth opamps, you need to incorporate a filter in order to prevent that ...

Re: Sample and Hold, again
Can you try with a very slow LFO rate? Also if you have the VX-351 expander you could patch the KB gate to the S&H gate.

Re: Audio I/O connection to patchbay
Anything to do with the feedback loops not being correctly connected?
If it's a bantam patchbay, you probably need special patchcords too as the diameter and length is different to regular 1/4".

Re: NAMM 2016 NEW SYNTHS
Last weekend I was in a room with both Arturia and DSI. I didn't get a go on the OB-6, but I spent a short time on the P6. I was quite pleased with the sound, and the front panel was intuitively laid out such that I could easily explore the features. I tried the Matrix Brute straight after but the e...
