Sub 37 Critical Duophonic Feature Request

There's one thing I find a bit frustrating with duophonic mode. Whenever you release the second note, OSC2 goes right back to OSC1 note position. For example, if you press F (OSC1) and C (OSC2) and let go to give it a nice filter release effect, OSC2 will go right back to F instead of sustaining at ...

Re: Moog Sub 37 - Ratchet

But is there a way to randomize which note in the sequence gets the ratchet every time the sequence is repeated?

Moog Sub 37 - Ratchet

Is there a way to randomize the ratcheting of notes in a sequence? It'd be nice to be able to randomize this every time the sequence is played.

Is this possible?

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

I contacted MOOG before my warranty expired. I was just saying that it is now officially expired. They fixed the problem while under warranty. No official word from MOOG on post-warranty repairs but I would assume that they will be very fair with the cost of this. You're not dealing with a faceless ...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

The solution is simple and has already been stated. If your filter pot is faulty then contact Moog and they'll take care of it. If your filter pot is not faulty then don't contact Moog because there's no need to. Why is this so difficult for folks to understand? Exactly! I contacted MOOG and the pr...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

@ChiLam Will do!

@XAXAU I might agree with you, but you can't beat how powerful the Sub 37 is considering its price. They only knob that is outrageously wobbly is the filter pot. The other ones could be better but they're not as noticeably bad.

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

@MRNUTTY I had an issue with the pot when I first received my unit. I contacted MOOG and got the filter replaced. It worked fine for a few months and it just RECENTLY started exhibiting the same issues as the original faulty pot. So I contacted MOOG about getting a revised board and have not heard f...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

I do think they need to give a lifetime warranty from unit 0 till 5400 ( only for the filter knob) What about reselling nobody wants to buy unit 1 until 5400 because they know about the different board. So are instrument ( unit 1 until 5400 ) lost value ! What about that ? Please moog answer to thi...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

I hope I won't have to pre-order this revised board and wait 6 months for it to come out. ;)

But in all honesty, dibs on one of these revised boards, I'd like to get back to playing my synth. Where's the checkout?

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

^^^Is exactly what I did! I had one of the 3xxx's and was a bit worried about the pot issue so I contacted Moog and asked if I could buy the revised PCB. They sent it to me in Norway via my nearest dealer within a week and even offered to let me have it for free if I let the store swap out the old ...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

Looking forward to seeing his findings. I've attached a photo of the top of my board (sorry, didn't take a photo of the back at the time, I will try to get one of those this weekend). I'm willing to bet that the old boards can be retrofit with a heavy duty pot, and that there shouldn't be any proble...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch

I think most people could get over the 'wobbliness' of the original pot, but to have a faulty pot that doesn't work as it should is definitely an issue. I'm not sure what will come of this, but at the moment I'm more than willing to work with Moog to find a fair solution. They're not Apple, they can...
