I have the same backlight behaviour with my newly acquired Electric Blue. I just thought that it was normal.
If you do obtain any further info, please post the details... I was thinking of getting the vx-351 too!

I've never really seen the point of the DarkTime myself, for just a bit more more you can get the way more powerful MAQ 16/3. Ok, the MAQ doesn't look as good 8) @ EMwhite - yes the features are accessible through the interface but it is very easy and fast. No probs for realtime playing / experiment...
