Re: Watch out Moog!

Sorry but it's still YOU that read things that aren't there. Still the post wasn't even directed at you nor VA tech. OK let's try again. The post by DontBelievetheHype mentioned rehashed Roland 15-year-old technology. Now by definition that is either VA or S&S seeing as Roland hasn't made an an...

Re: Watch out Moog!

You read in a lot more into my post than what is actually there. I haven't said anything about VA technology at all. My post wasn't even directed at you (see the quote), I was reffering to the comment about rehasing and how I found it funny (and still do). Please explain how one can interpret that ...

Re: Watch out Moog!

Here's the problem: unlike analogue, VA can always be improved - until perhaps you reach a point where they are indistinguishable. So 15-year-old VA technology is not good because many things can still be improved. Are you really telling my a JP-8000 sounds analogue? Sorry but Roland's COSM is not ...

Re: Watch out Moog!

I don't think anyone looking at Moog gear will be tempted to spring the the Gaia instead... rehashed 15 year old Roland synth. Nice interface I guess, at least, but sounds like crap. Its not even fully 'VA'.. I find it funny to be mentioning a rehased 15 year old synth (and making it sound negative...

Re: Anyone heard of Volta CV program

I saw a program for sale for about $200 that turned any interface (ie mbox) into a cv generator. Sounds cool for controlling analog synths without MIDI. If its MOTU's VOLTA you mean It doesn't work on any interface AFAIK. It only works on MOTU interfaces or other interfaces that have DC coupled out...

Other:

I know it's pretty farfetched and highly unlikely but I'd love to see modular modules. Take the moogerfoogers and convert to the moog 5U format as a start, compatible with DotCom and similar. Then it would be pretty awesome to have one oscillator from the LP or the Voyager as a module as well.

Just like TAO says, the interface is the big difference between Tetra and P'08. I'd like to remind you though that the Tetra has a decent editor that is free (LE version, there's a Pro version that you have to pay for). So if you would be happy with just having the most basic controls on the Tetra a...

MOS-LAB Demos on YouTube

Hi! I thought that I'd share some YouTube demonstrations of MOS-LAB products. I'm quite impressed with the sound that his synths produce. MOS-LAB on YouTube I was particulary impressed with the SYSTEM 8A demonstration. It's pretty obvious that he uses some external gear such as a mixer and a keyboar...

Wouldn't the 921 VCO solve your problem then? 3 oscs = 6 spaces Do you mean the COTK 921 VCO? Yes It would indeed solve that problem. Or S.Com Q-106 Oscillators. They stand alone and don't need a 'driver' to control them. http://www.synthesizers.com/q106.html Yes I've been thinking of that as well....

Thanks for the reply! I looked into moogarchive and found the answers I was looking for. It is as I suspected that the driver functions as a 'master' to all the oscillators in it's group. It means that the pulsewidth is indeed set on all connected oscillators simultaneously in that particular group....

Shed some light on the Moog 921-A Oscillator Driver

Hi, Is there someone on this forum that could describe how the Moog 921-A Oscillator Driver works? I see that there's only one control for pulsewidth control in each group of 3 oscillators (Moog 921-B). Does this mean that you can't have different pulsewidth settings on 921-B oscillators in the same...

Phono RCA unbalanced inputs were usually fed by the outputs of a turntable with a moving-magnet cartridge. Thus, these inputs usually have a built-in RIAA preamp that provides the EQ & gain required for the phono-level signal to return it to a proper line-level signal. I don't know if the MG-1 ...

I've made a couple of free refills for the Reason community and then some guy ripped my and other peoples patches from various free refills and put them all into his own big package without asking permission or even giving credit. I managed to track down the different sites where h...
