Pogo,
I just picked up a new CP-251 and VX-351 for $500 plus tax. Talk to your dealer. Some are willing to deal! (mine still has at least 3 251's in stock)
I couldn't beat that on eBay.

Mine is out of warranty. One of the first things I did when I got it was to open it up and look inside. I put a bit of opaque material on mine to dim them. The signature doesn't have backlight and the wheels were way too bright in a dimly lit room. Those 2 LEDs are amazingly bright! I've also consid...

amotz, I've just uploaded a patch for the Voyager on the Knob Tweak group to demonstrate the use of the ext. input. Look for wontfool.syx. This should help you get a feel for using the voyager to modify external sources. (Was also my first foray into using MIDI and my computer on the Voyager.) I can...

That whole website was wonderful reading. I grew up in that era and was the only kid I knew who was a fan of 'synthesizer music'. By high school in the mid 70's, 3 of us in the Santa Monica High School computer lab had built our own modular synth from plan in Radio Electronics magazine. (It used pap...

Not just filter pole. But source and destination of modulations, shaping of modulation, env and filter gates source and most hidden, pot mapping all get saved with a preset on a voyager.

An M1-3/M101-3. Not nearly as heavy as a B. Has a flat top to set the Moog on. Does not have harmonic foldback like a Console so will sound absolutely correct in songs like Whiter Shade and Green Onions. Has complex generators for the pedals and legato for the pedals. Real nice units and dirt cheap ...

If you are transfering from OS to Voyager, try this FIRST. Select the factory blank patch, then set to real panel param. If you are starting from a factory or someone elses patch, there are routings and filter selections that can be made with the software in the Voyager, With Modulation routed to so...

What's MIDI? (My rig is so old and limited in it's MIDI implementation, I can barely fathom what you are asking for!) All I use MIDI for is to drive the MKS-20 from the JX-3P or the Piano. Or as a clock signal to my recorder. (I don't have a computer in my studio and haven't had MIDI on any computer...

Looks like you can chain them together in several ways. Reset in of unit A to last channel of unit B Reset in of unit B to last channel of unit A Will cause each one to fire the other in sequence. Or let both run in unison and use one as 10 steps of CV to pitch (or whatever)and the other to 10 steps...

I'm looking for a budget sequencer for my OS, but I don't have the money yet.
I'm looking at a pair of Voice of Saturn sequencer kits. They seem about as good a price as anything I've found.

Welcome to the forum. I, like you, am not a "musician". I'm a technologist that has been playing with this stuff for decades. I'm finally getting around to putting it on tape. (That's right, tape.) I love analog! With a little experimenting, you will find you are able to get the bleeps ,bo...
