Re: Moog Modular Expansion & Power Requirements

First, I recommend looking at Dave Brown's Modular Synthesis site: https://www.modularsynthesis.com/moog/moog.htm He has some great photographs of some Moog modular restorations he's done with other useful information. On this page, he details making a Dot Com cabinet adapter. https://www.modularsy...

Re: Triggering a Model 15 from a Mother-32

Hello, I’m hoping someone can explain this to me like I’m 5 years old: I have a Mother-32 and a Model 15, and I would like to use the Mother-32 sequencer to trigger the Model 15. So a couple questions: 1. Do I simply connect the Mother-32 Trigger Out to the Model 15 Trigger In, along with the CV Ou...

Moog 1130 Stand

I just purchased a Moog 1130. The mount on its side doesn't seem to be a common or normal drum mount and the smallest snare drum stands I've found are too big. This thing measures about 9 inches [** EDIT: 7 3/4 inches, sorry**] in diameter at the bottom. I spent some time on the phone with my sales ...

Re: 904A output intermittently is only noise

Thanks for the idea Tom. I agree. That it's "intermittent" does sound like a bad solder joint somewhere. Unfortunately, the solder sides of the two PCBs face each other so I can't do a visual inspection very easily. Pushing/tapping on the components is a good option. I will give a look lat...

904A output intermittently is only noise

I have a re-issued Model 15. Tonight as I was playing it, I noticed that when I inserted a plug into one of the control input jacks, I'd hear a "pop", and then the output would be only noise, or noise with a very weak audio signal. It didn't matter if the other end of the cable was connect...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!

Moog 1150 Ribbon Controller. I designed and then had Front Panel Express fabricate a custom aluminum panel to replace the old, plastic one. Cleaned it up and it works great! I've had it working with my new issue Model D, Model 15, and my boatload of Steiner-Parker Synthasystem modules.

Model 15 and 953 triggering

A couple of very basic questions please. I just received my Model 15 (s/n 84) and 953 controller. I connected the 953 to the 1-2 input on the Model 15 as instructed. The trigger seems to be operating backwards to what the quick start sheet says for the 953. When I use Trigger 1, it only triggers on ...

Re: System 55 Restoration

Thanks Dave. I thought I had read/heard that they were toroids and your photos seem to confirm this. When I did my clone, Carsten Toensmann wound some custom spool type inductors for me. They seem to work fine, but I have no 914 against which to directly compare.
