Hello, One of my favorites is a set of volumes published around...78?? Roland named the set "The Synthesizer" and there were four volumes. I had the last two, which were titled, "Practical Synthesis For Electronic Music" (pts 1 & 2), and they sometimes come up on ebay. Roland...

Re: Best model D patch

So how does he get the Wah effects? Hello, The answer probably resides in the question. George Duke used a Vox wah wah in the effects loop on his mixer. That sound is also on Stanley Clarke's "Journey To Love" @ 3:22: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TuprJosw2s&fmt=18 Regards, -l

Hello, Thats D-Train. Its the Brooklyn-based duo of James "D-Train" Williams on vocals, and Hubert Eaves III, producer and keyboardist. That release was 1982, and before that Hubert Eaves played with Mtume. The bass is Minimoog, and the poly is more than likely Prophet 5 (to my ears). Ther...

Re: thread topic

Hello, If its an even trade, you could give him the MG-1, take the Solus, and use a bit of extra cash to pick up a Phatty ot Performer Vger. There isn't a more different, but complementary combo of monos than most of the Moogs and an Arp. A Solus and a Phatty/Vger are both 1v/oct, so it would settle...

Hello, You can find a version here: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/mmvoyager/files/LWG%20patch/ Its posted in the Voyager OS patch memorizer application format. The source Vger it was patched on was a Signature which did not have filter glide. Because the OS and later model Vgers were updated ...

Re: LP patches to the Voyager

Just picked up a Voyager, solar mahogany, and I'm going to sell the LP. Was wondering if I can get my stored patches over to the Voyager from the Little Phatty? Hello, Not that I know of via sysex, but you could do a manual patch translation: As Klopfgeist has suggested, you can store them as a sys...

Re: thread topic

Hello, For conventional pulse width modulation (modifying with a selected cv source, the duty cycle of the square wave), you first set the oscillator of choice on the square wave setting (7 on the panel legend). Assign the pedal or mod wheel bus destination to "wave", and assign the source...

Re: thread topic

Only thing....I wish that the Voyagers panel could really be laid flat like that without the stress on the power jacks. Hello, Moog Music could source a set of rubber feet/stops that are a bit longer and larger than the existing ones in the bay, to raise the panel just enough for the cables to clea...

Re: Thread Topic

Hello, One thing you may want to consider in programming a patch based on the ARP Odyssey is that the envelopes on the Oddy are a bit slower than the Mini's were. The Mini's attack segment was about 1mS. The Oddy's was spec'd @ about 5mS, so you may want to slow down that segment on the amplifier en...

Re: Thread Topic

Hello,

The duty cycle of the pulse wave on the Vger's oscillators is selected by
setting the wave knob in the oscillator section to a value between and
including 7 and 10 (panel legend value)

Re: Thread Topic

Unlike the Simpson trial, Jackson's was not televised. Therefore I have never heard the arguments for and against. At the time of Jackson's trial, the media reports had me believing he was guilty. And we know how unbiased the media is . . . especially with celebrities. But put in retrospect, I can'...

Anyone got any hard info on 'Scream'?
