Re: Find a guy with a Moog T - in an 80GPix pic of London!

Yes, definitely cool stuff - yet at the same time, a bit scary. Next thing you know cameras will be able to see through walls. I wouldn't be surprised if that were possible now.

Find a guy with a Moog T - in an 80GPix pic of London!

Where's Waldo? (AKA Find the guy with the Moog T - in an 80G pixel pic of London)! Check out this HUGE hi-rez panoramic pic of London: http://www.360cities.net/london-photo-en.html If you want to see a guy in a Moog t-shirt, follow these directions. As soon as the image renders, there should be a pi...

Re: Problems with minimoog mod wheel

Hmmm - if you haven't already done this, try these settings: Osc 3's octave switch to the "Lo" range Osc 3 Control switch to off Filter Mod switch to off Osc Mod switch to on Adjust Modulation Mix control to Osc 3 Play a note, turn up the mod wheel, and adjust Osc 3 fine tune pot as desired.

Actually, if they named it Flux Capacitator, I would HAVE to buy it... And I don't need it! :D

Minimoog - LH Controller Cinch-Jones Wiring

Hello, While I was doing the pitch wheel dead band mod, I broke some wires going to the 12 pin Cinch Jones connector that attaches to the left hand controller panel. I figured I would post the wire positions here in case someone else has the same problem that I did. This is for the 12 pin Cinch-Jone...

Re: Minimoog Pitch Wheel Mod

Wow, very nice! Is that yours? Can you tell us about it? The good news here is that I installed the 619K resistor, and this Mini is now officially rockin'! The pitch wheel is great to use now. The osc shift cal pots are sitting pretty about 11 o'clock. :) Thanks once again to Kevin and Larry. You gu...

Re: Minimoog Pitch Wheel Mod

Thank you both for all the helpful info. I went through a stash of 620K resistors (carbon), and found 1 that is 619K. I'll install it tonight, and will post again to let everyone know how it turned out. Thanks again!

Re: Minimoog Pitch Wheel Mod

Thanks for the info Larry. I thought it was strange that this resistor was for temp stability. I have a few 620Ks here. Do you suppose a 620K would be fine to use?

Re: Minimoog Pitch Wheel Mod

Thanks Kevin. I have the later/last VCO board. I can post the Factory Bulletin (#830) when I get home tonight. I haven't been able to find it on the net for some reason. I did see the 619K resistor mod on the same bulletin, but it said that it was for temp stability, so I didn't do it. Maybe I shoul...

Re: Minimoog Pitch Wheel Mod

I forgot to mention - The factory bulletin on this mod specs a 27K Ohm resistor. I installed a 25K Ohm (It's all I had on hand). This wouldn't cause the octave shift problem, would it?

Re: Minimoog Pitch Wheel Mod

Hi Kevin! The last part of the bulletin's mod entailed loosening the pitch wheel to set it for .1V or less across the diodes. I did that and got it under .05V. :) I think it's a 1 (or possibly 2) full octave shift that took place. Would the pitch wheel pot allow me to shift the freq. that far? Or sh...

Minimoog Pitch Wheel Mod

Hello all, I installed the pitch wheel mod (AKA dead band mod) on my Minimoog last night, and now my Mini is playing a octave or two lower than it was before. I believe this is because the mod entails removing the ground connection of the pitch wheel pot, and routing -10 volts there instead. What wo...

Cleaning Minimoog pots?

Hello fellow Moogheads - My Mini has a pitchbend that never quite makes it back to center pitch. I know of the diode mod, but where would I locate it to see if it's been done? Is it usually in the left hand controller section? Some of the other pots on the control panel are now intermittent. Is ther...

Re: Duel of the Jester and the Tyrant

Okay, I pulled my Minimoog out of the closet and tried to get an approximation of Corea's lead patch. It's not perfect, but I think it's in the ballpark: Filter settings: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/1723/sminipatch002.jpg Oscillator settings: http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/7734/sminipatch00...
