Re: Moog Percussion controller cinch jones--available?

Those ludwig clip mounts are easily available, I think I may have one.. For this 1130. The paint is just like the lacquer Ludwig used, but when this drum was made, Ludwig was rarely lacquering anything, only a few finishes were available with lacquer and they were mostly clear, to show the mahogany ...

Re: Moog Percussion controller cinch jones--available?

It just arrived. It seems in good nick, the foam insides were removed, the back panel was there but not attached. So I snapped some pictures of front, back and insides. As you can see the wire was severed. I'll probably shop at Mouser and get the necessary wire and put new connectors on it. I'll add...

Re: Moog Percussion controller cinch jones--available?

I was told by a tech in Kansas the unit is pretty simple, and if it gets to that point I'll just have him rewire it.. I just tried to sign up for Knobtweak. I just tried to join like any other Yahoo group, I didn't see the part about entering my Moog forum name until after I entered the join the gro...

Re: Moog Percussion controller cinch jones--available?

Well I've tried to open that file but can't, and I can't seem to find the Knob Tweak group you're talking about. Any other input regarding these is appreciated, I'll probably try to attach the cables myself, and if that doesn't work, it's a trip to the synth tech!

Re: Moog Percussion controller cinch jones--available?

Thanks Erik! Being a drummer, I've been on the hunt for one for quite a while, hoping it will be useful triggering the Mini..

Moog Percussion controller cinch jones/cables--available?

I am in the process of getting a Moog Percussion controller and was wondering if the cinch-jones connector is a part available through Mouser? Haven't received it yet, but it will need a new cable. Does anyone have the 1130 Percussion controller and could you put some pictures of the cable(s) and co...

Re: UPS

I've dealt with a few snafus by UPS in the past, but before we go further I'll say this: EVERY SINGLE SHIPPER HAS ITS SHARE OF PROBLEM DELIVERIES FROM TIME TO TIME. In no way should their processes be a negative thing for UPS. That being said, I believe that UPS might be able to schedule another del...

Re: Brush w/ greatness: Bernie Worrell

I love Bernie Worrell. Huge fan here. And Victor Wooten--don't get me started. Great cover article in Downbeat. I love his book the Music Lesson--bought it after a Flecktones show a couple of years ago--really has some great ideas on musical expression and improvisation. Bernie's been all about impr...

That's a pratt-reed keyboard, I think other companies used them if I'm not mistaken. You just need a spring?

Re: Should Roland and Korg get back in the analog market?

I think Roland took a hit from Yamaha when Yamaha introduced the DX7. The writing was on the wall for analogues when FM synthesis, sampling technology and digital technology began to show its immense versatility, and Roland was already putting DCO's and other digital technology with their analogues....

Re: Should Roland and Korg get back in the analog market?

Roland and Korg both have some really good analog emulation going on. People are still buying Rhodes used or going with a Nord for electric piano emulation. Not necessary to fake a Rhodes before you can go back into an analog synth, so I'm not really following how an effective Rhodes emulator has mu...

Re: Should Roland and Korg get back in the analog market?

It would be cool if Roland and Korg got back into the analog market. But their current products, while perhaps or perhaps not being what the average Moog forum member wants, is serving a very large chunk of today's synth market. So they must be doing something right currently. It comes down to dolla...
