Re: Minimoog Census
About the serial number.. So then the serials would have matched other than the replaced oscillator, and the number of the unit would correspond to the number of the filter?

Re: Minimoog Census
I'm sorry I put 1257 as the number on the filter card (the card to the left of the oscillator when looking at it from the back). It should read 1254. MC.. Would the serial then be 1254, and are you saying that they basically put the "old oscillator" card onto the synths that had the discre...

Re: Minimoog Census
I bought my Musonics minimoog from the Hormel estate via eBay. Several studio equipment items were being sold after he passed away. It had been apparently left in a pile in the basement at the Village Recorder in LA. When I got it it had a "1" sticker on the wood, which I removed, leaving ...

Re: Need advice on a moog purchase please
That is not a question I'd try to answer for someone. I think that's a lot of money but you're getting a larger keyboard, and basically a Modular setup in addition to the already great feature set of the Voyager. Mostly depends on a couple of factors: Are you into synthesis, and to what degree; and ...

Re: Moog Rogue Problems
You are looking in the wrong place. You need to look at the key contacts (J-wires?) on this synth. They are the little wires that contact the bars underneath the keys. Probably one of those wires (Under the G Key, the CV bar) is bent and continually touching the Bar. But you could definitely wreck y...

Re: 1630 Moog/Bode Frequency Shifter
Wow.. That was funny. I think it seems like it is a combination of a Ring Modulator and a pitch shifter. Very cool. If they don't have a pedal version available, I was wondering how one would go about building a module from Encore electronics and then putting it into the signal path of a Minimoog, o...

Re: Moog Rogue Problems
I would guess the low G is contacting the cv. Inspect that key and be sure the contacts are not touching when the key isn't depressed. The reason why the low G plays when all the higher keys are depressed is because they have a low-note priority on them and the sticking G is playing, triggered by th...

Re: HELP: Minimoog Model D or Minimoog Voyager?
I don't know what the fuss is about servicing issues. Minimoog model Ds are virtually bulletproof (after their initial updating-servicing which is often required due to the age of them.) The one I have did require service but as soon as it was tuned and serviced and an issue with the filter section ...

The s-trigger simply shorts the circuit as you say.. It is probably working.. I'll get back to it when I have more time.

Re: Moog Percussion controller cinch jones/cables--available
That is a good thing to do with it, I like just controlling the filter with it and using the keyboard for the osc frequency.. Still not sure if the S-trig is working as it should, it is just sending a permanent note-on signal, I think. That may be the way it's supposed to be..Erik, is that what your...

Re: Moog Percussion controller cinch jones/cables--available
I think it is working.. Modulation madness may occur, though. Upon suggestion by my son I plugged a Boss delay into it and then detuned all 3 oscillators, sometimes modulating pitch with osc 3, and using the pitch wheel, and of course playing the various filter and oscillator levels with the drum. I...
