Re: Memorymoog Frozen on 00

But... posting it in the One forum makes sense though; both are huge Moog polysynths, sound wonderful and one is a classic and the other heading that way! :D :D

Re: loud Popping from inside of the Moog one - anyone else?

Who hasn’t got it?
It’s mentioned in most detailed reviews and on mine when it’s been operating a while and it’s all warmed up stops.

Re: Noise issue, is this normal?

The VCA & master volume are purposely voiced high to allow for distorted sounds in lieu of a dedicated overdrive circuit. Their reply also confirmed that noise will become quite loud as the master volume knob nears it's max, even with VCA & OSC mixer levels turned down and that this is inherent to ...

Re: do the Moog One knob values "jump" when you move them, after loading a patch?

I do like the feature of being able to see the stored value as you edit. On my DSI P6 a little red indicator lights at the preset stored value. It’s workmanlike considering no screen, so I imagine the One could do better if implemented!

Re: do the Moog One knob values "jump" when you move them, after loading a patch?

Yes it’s a function in the settings menu. From manual: ABSOLUTE In this mode, the parameter value will immediately jump to match the current position of the hardware knob. PASS THROUGH In this mode, the parameter value will remain unchanged as the knob is turned, until the knob position matches the ...

Re: Noise issue, is this normal?

Agree, I don’t want mine to go back either, I’m just taken aback with the previous post. I’ll await a view from source and the music shop I bought it from. In the UK we have a year warranty as I recall, and I don’t want to run out of that if there’s a suspicion that there may be an hardware issue. :?

Re: Noise issue, is this normal?

V interesting. Did the other Ones and yours have the same gain stages - ie balanced cables, same mixer same make up gain etc - ie its not another variable after the stereo outs? If this is correct I'll be contacting Source too - since i emailed them audio clips and they responded saying it was norma...

Re: Can't save timbres unless saving as part of a preset

Does your "One" do this?
Do you know I’m not sure and it’s in storage for a house move at mo. :(

When I’m in my new studio will definitely check!

Re: Can't save timbres unless saving as part of a preset

Sounds like a LFO or envelope assigned to pitch somewhere or even AT or pressure. Find the offending patch and look at modulations (and check each active timbre)

Re: Can't save timbres unless saving as part of a preset

That’s normal behaviour at the mo.
Your mid wheel issue - does it do this on an init patch with no other mod routings?

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody

Glad you got there! I think your point about the Moog Sound is very true plus the ease of programming make it a great instrument. I have other synths but I lean to the One and my Model D whenI need synth parts. Mostly I suspect because they’re easy to quickly get a sound together and it somehow near...
