Speaking of "Rick Wakeman on the MiniMoog," I am curious as to why he continues to use a MiniMoog as opposed to a Voyager (everyone remembers the video if him trying out a Voyager at Messe a few years ago, right?)?

That was the only thing that looked "off" to me- damn, you guys are good!

Funny thing, the power cord connection was the only problem I ever had with my Mini ('75-82).

How are you able to tell it is a DoniMoog? At first glance it looks like a very well preserved mid-production run (around serial# 6500?) Mini....I am no expert like KL and MC, I could have been fooled.

FYI- Moog Documentary on TV

Broadcast on "ShowTime" channel on 3/3/07, not sure when the next one will be, but it is pretty cool to see that it made the mainstream.....

Aftertouch still a bit touchy?

I had the Aftertouch Mod done to my Performer (along with the 3.x upgrade and filter glide), and I still think it is a bit too sensitive, especially compared to other keyboards with a similar keybed (A6, PEK). It is certainly much better than before, but does anyone agree/disagree with me that it wo...

I can live without the backlight, but if I were given a choice I wouldn't mind it in a deep, ruby red. There are too many blue lights these days.....

My Voyager went in about 4 weeks ago for 3.x, AT, and filter glide mods; I contacted Amos yesterday and was told that they are just now getting to it, so it will most likely be shipped back to me late this week or early next week. When I sent it in the consensus was 4-6 weeks, so that seems about ri...

Back in the mid-late 70's, I used to put a MiniMoog on top of a Rhodes Stage MK I regularly in my studio without any problems, but for gigs I preferred a separate stand.

Well, I opted for shipping it back, the price of shipping is not much different vs the savings of the factory upgrade, and while it's there it will get the filter glide mod and a recalibration. Moog really needs to have service centers in Europe for our friends across the pond- do they?
