Re: New Model D ?

Right, I meant Pro 12. Prophet 10 is a different conversation all together; may as well add a GX to the conversation if talking about unobtainable. The 12 is more capable and a different beast all together, agreed. But considering the made in China feel and what was inside, the Pro-12 seemed expens...

Re: I Finally Have 3-Tiers of Mothers

I couldn't stop at two. Three seems to be the perfect number of Mothers.

Re: New Model D ?

Pro 10? Do you mean Pro 2 or a Prophet 12? The DS Pro 2 has infinitely more possibilities for a working musician than a warmed-over Model D. It also sells for a lot less than you suggest. A rip-off, seriously?

Re: New Model D ?

@Red - well that doesn't look like the Asheville factory to me. I'd love Moog to reintroduce the Model D but I can't see what business sense it makes for them to recreate it accurately. They already had a superior 100% analogue product in the (now discontinued) VOS. Nevertheless, Moog are always fu...

Re: New Model D ?

Nah! Doesn't look right to me. I call 'fake' on this, but I'd be delighted to be proved wrong. Maybe it's a boutique third-party offering but I cannot believe Moog Inc. would produce such a thing when they've discontinued the VOS.

Re: Minimoog D notes constantly sounding

Agree with thealien666. More likely to be a mechanical issue with a stuck keyboard contact rather than the gate circuit. Check the 'trig out' voltage (PL-1 pad 6) - it should be 0v with no key down and +10v with any key down. Schematic can be found here... http://www.fantasyjackpalance.com/fjp/sound...

Re: Any Mother-32 Questions?

I have 'other opinions' on that.

How many MFs can you buy for the same price as a Mother 32?

Most MFs are way overpriced for what they offer IMO.

Adding a Mother 32 opens up a new world of possibilities.

Re: Trigger (Cinch-Jones) cables?

Unless you are an absolute purist, replace the CJ connectors with something better (pretty much anything would be better). Mini-DIN connectors would be better from a functional point of view.

Well that's as likely as someone having a patch sheet for the sound of magical unicorn farts. Can you be more precise? If there's a YouTube of this performance, could you tell us where in the time-line the sounds you want occur?

Re: RIP Isao Tomita

So sad. The keyboard heroes who inspired me in my youth are all dropping of the branch one by one. Jon Lord, Rick Wright, Edgar Froese, Keith... Please stick around a while with us Rick Wakeman and Tony Banks, you grumpy old sods.

Re: New firmware ideas

Use your hands and fingers. The seq on the M32 is eminently playable. If you just want to do everything on your DAW by pointing and clicking and dragging then maybe external analogue hardware isn't for you.
