Re: Final Analysis....

This is an excellent point. What's the history on service papers being released for Moog instruments in the past? Also I'm not seeing a link to purchase an extended warranty. Is Moog still selling them? I think it largely depends on the availability of the servicepapers in 10 years. Without them rep...

Re: Final Analysis....

Thanks for your thoughts! I've had a MiniMoog Model D Reissue, a Sub Phatty, a Etherwave Pro Theramin, a Werkstatt,, a Claravox, and a Voyager XL Tolex. Loved them all, but ultimately felt a bit limited as I think a Polysynth was really what I wanted and chased MemoryMoogs for a while. Ultimately th...

Final Analysis....

I'm considering buying a brand new Moog One 16 voice while they are still available. For all you 16 voice owners out there, would you do it again, even in light of possibly no new firmware updates on the horizon? I'm a cup half full kind of guy, so looking for more positive advice on how it's brough...

Re: Multi-Moogerfooger power supply

I just posted this elsewhere, but haven't tried it: The mf-102 manual states: POWER REQUIREMENTS: +9 to +15 volts DC. Nominal current is 100 milliamperes. The mf-103 manual goes a bit further: POWER: The MF-103 works satisfactorily on +10 to +15 volts DC and uses about 100 milliamperes of current. N...

MF-102, mf-103: 12-15 volts?

The mf-102 manual states: POWER REQUIREMENTS: +9 to +15 volts DC. Nominal current is 100 milliamperes. The mf-103 manual goes a bit further: POWER: The MF-103 works satisfactorily on +10 to +15 volts DC and uses about 100 milliamperes of current. Note that most power adaptors that are rated at +9V D...

Re: Voyager XL TRS connections

Thanks for your response. The manual does state that these CV inputs can be used with an expression pedal if I'm reading it correctly. Some of these are white ringed input jacks on the patch panel as they are on the CP-251. The manual does mention that the EP-2 can be used which is a TRS connection....

Voyager XL TRS connections

Hi All,

Is it correct that the only TRS connections that exsist on the Voyager XL are the Headphone jack and the MIXER OUT/FILTER IN?

TRS is only mentioned for those two ports in the XL manual.

Are the expression pedal jacks not TRS?

thanks.

Re: MP201 V3

The one issue might be that the firmware contains code used in other moog products, so open sourcing it would be giving away the store. That being said, Moog is more of a hardware company for me. What would be the user reaction to open sourcing? That is beyond functionality that keeps everything fro...

Re: MP201 V3

IMHO Moog is very forward thinking and spending time to upgrade the firmware for a discontinued product would have to be a labor of love from someone who's current labor of love is probably focused on present and future projects. A more achievable solution might be to request open sourcing the firmw...

Re: Voyager XL Tolex

The only reason I asked about all presets was I think using pot mapping you can generate midi with nothing hooked up.

I'd say load up INIT PARAMETERS as well as ‘REAL PANEL PARAM’ in the menus and see if it still happens.

If so, call Moog.

Re: Voyager XL Tolex

this doesn't happen with my Tolex, though I thought it was happening when I first read your post. Dialing around a bit and setting the LFO for a slow rate confirmed that this wasn't happening for me. My question is if this happens on all your presets and also on all modulation settings on the front ...

Re: Voyager XL - if you were doing it all over again...

Thanks guys.

I've been on the fence about it, mostly because of the price tag, as I won't be gigging with it.

I got an amazing deal on one and haven't received it yet, but was a little nervous about the expenditure.

Just needed some validation.

Thanks.
